    172 v cup v v6

But you're the most biased person on here! It has a big heavy engine, mounted high, in the centre of a relatively short chassis, a car that lotus refused to consult on the handling, as it couldn't be made to work! Standard Vee, vs standard 172, wet back road. The Vee would get dropped.

    172 v cup v v6

Was a ph1 Vee. Thankfully none are left now, they all span into bushes and exploded.

    Sunday Afternoon Pics...

Easily the best car on here.

6500 trophy is this for real?????

I'd disagree. They aren't significantly more expensive to run than a lot of hatchbacks, 35mpg.

    172 v cup v v6

Evo. The Vee and the 172 were closely matched, the cup was quicker. It was a ph1 vee, ph2 172, and 172cup. I may have it at home, if I can find it I'll scan it and email it too you.

    Predictions: GT2/LP560/430 Scuderia

Nicely done! Assuming you met Harris? Decent lad, had a little blat with him in his 205 when I had my 182. Showed me what genuine talent can do.

    124 mph in 4th - speedo video

The 172 engine's torque drops off fairly quickly at high revs, more noticeable after a remap.

    Remap and MOT

Shouldn't affect it if the cat's still in place. Many people on here have had remaps, if it was causing MOT issues we would of heard. Decat's a completely different issue.

    Renault Sport EVO Triangle run

Any more pics of the Trophy? I didn't get many decent ones when I had her,

    Eibach sportline

20-30mm-ish. They are good. How many miles have you covered on the original dampers?
  13. ForceIndia

    Eibach sportline

I've had sportlines, prolines, apex. Apex are awful. Sportlines give a firmer ride than standard, but not terrible. Prolines are fantastic, but don't lower a 172/182 by much.

Bottom pic is my old car! Glad to see he's treating her well.

    AST setup

I'm gonna come and see you once you've had the dampers done, be good to see the difference.

Bilstein B14 or H&R for fast road use?

Curtis does lots of race work, time-attack, etc. Been taken abroad for races by AST, they are much bigger in the states than over here. Plus he's done the suspension on all the litchfield car (IIRC)

Bilstein B14 or H&R for fast road use?

My set-ups quite different to when you rode in it fella, the ride's now better than a 182 on sportlines.

There's an insurance place near big johns, opposite the post office. Has a 4200 (last I saw).

Too fast, too furious me thinks. The Maserati thats parks at the insurance brokers makes up for it though!

    Colgate...

Looks good. Be better off with a decent wrap, will protect the paint beneath, and will be easier to sell on. (Surprised you haven't done the diamond red!)
  23. ForceIndia

Bilstein B14 or H&R for fast road use?

Very, very good. Thats why I switched to the softer springs (for reference, when I say soft, they are still stiffer than the Trophy springs). On the harder springs, I was getting thrown all over the place. On these springs, and the new set-up (more camber, different toe etc), it's very supple...

    PE2's are ace!

I don't like them at all.
  27. ForceIndia

Bilstein B14 or H&R for fast road use?

The group buy thats being sorted makes the AST's the same price (fitted) as the H&R's. Anyone that wants to have a go with my AST's is welcome. Mine run softer springs than Dans, the ride is pretty close to standard, but the handling is very different!!
  28. ForceIndia

Bilstein B14 or H&R for fast road use?

Ali=baw bag. I'd love to try some H&R's, compare to my AST's. So difficult to compare though, set up makes such a difference. You could try some decent coilovers with a set-up you don't like, and hate them!

Bilstein B14 or H&R for fast road use?

Try the ast's too. Well made, adjustable, group buy being sorted at the moment. Unlike all the others mentioned they have a rear coilover as well.
