One simple mod that changes how the car feels is take the back seats out and leave them, the spare tyre and jack at home, them go for a blast, the loud empty shell that's a good 30kg's lighter will make it feel like a go cart, it will also make the exhaust a lot louder in the cabin as there's...
Me and Guy Martin aren't sure if the dog kennel will survive going on track this year, the gearbox is absolutely on it's arse and ready to explode, however I am of the f*ck it lets see what happens opinion, toying with the idea of bringing it on a flatbed just in case.
Looks good, I don't like Paul Hollywood as a presenter, I think that's mainly because I couldn't give a sh*t about cookery shows, but whenever he's done stuff about cars i've really enjoyed it, what channel is it on?
Replaced the front shocks and gearbox oil, didn't mean to change the box oil but we accidentally pulled the driveshaft out and it all pissed out, good job we did as there was a fair bit of metal in it, won't be long before the box sh*ts itself and i'll need another, which will be the cars third...
So Dainel's back in and he's bringing Sam and his warp drive Clio, Filters is back in the silly Welsh tw*t, this has the makings of a monumental weekend, utter f*cking carnage!
Wanted one of these for my Mum, but ended up getting her a B5.5 1.8T 20V auto because it was an utter bargain, bloody love Passat estates, massive amounts of room and comfy as f*ck.
You should bring them to CSF this year, CS meets are a good laugh now, at least the yearly trackday/mega piss up is, unlike some of the socially inept car park weirdo ones we've been to.
It really is a f*cking work of art, I know it's essentially your Dads, but you need to convince him to bring this to CSF one year, it will definitely win best non Clio, plus i'd love to see/hear it on track.
It happened alot on track last year, I did think maybe the powder coating was expanding when hot and unwinding them but as far as I can tell they're standard Oz F1's that still have the factory finish, but for the same thing to happen on standard 172 wheel after was odd as it had never happened...
I thought torque is torque, but even my daily wheels came loose with the torque wrench, gunned them on and they haven't moved, it's possible I have a dodgy torque wrench but I could count on one hand the amount of times i've used it so it's essentially brand new, but as you say guns are far...
