Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
something to have a think about for sure,
such a pain not being able to work on the car / plan it at the moment
i will answer both those comments in one,
i am lodging in Wolverton (MK) during the week, i then travel home to Gillingham (Dorset) on weekends. The car is based in Wells (Somerset).
All my free time is week nights so i can't get to the car, the weekends i spend with the GF as i don't see her...

i am massively going off the heated screen now tbh.....
didn't Iceman get one too?
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
i am unsure whats more annoying, the fact that the window has failed or the fact that the company you bought it from are not helping...

the heater definitely sounds the right way to go, the heated screens don't sound too clever at all....
i was going to say you will have the same problem as me with regards to welding up the bulkhead, but you...
being in a place where i don't know loads of people i get alot of free time, meaning alot of thinking time, and despite what i have said previously i am still questioning what to do with the car.....

thats interesting reading as its the route i was looking at, i already have the storm kit, whats the issue with it?
did the heated windscreen guy help you at all?
otherwise what ian has done looks very good...
just makes alot more sense in the future,
also means in my case that if i want to change any panel work for aero reasons i can do it then get panels re-wrapped etc without worrying about colour matching etc etc
good work guys,
i think i will be replacing the clutch on mine before the engine goes back in, did you order from renault or a specialist?
more importantly have fun tomorrow....
very nice mate, good that it started first time too, fair play to you.
mine won't be on the road for a fair while, not helped that i am 100+ miles away from it now either
very nice and good work on the engine mate,
the only reason i asked about the block is i am doing the same shortly and my build uses the same colour palette as yours, however i thought it may be best to go with silver on the block just to show up any problems or issues easier if there was any...
well after a lot of thinking i really don't think i can just quit on this project,
if i broke the car for parts and bought something else it definitely wouldn't be a clio and it would only be up to £5k, i don't think anything i could buy for that would be to the same spec as what mine will be...
great shame you are breaking it, but fully understand the reasons, they are the exact same reasons that had me reconsidering,
perhaps i am an idiot for trying to proceed rather than cashing in....

good to see you are now alot more positive mate,
sounds like you are going to have a great time on wednesday... jealous
i kind of see where you are going with the nano idea, however when you see the 2 side by side the 991 is a much much better shape, its so much sleeker and cleaner (comparing same speck so carrera's, not gt2's etc etc for obvious reasons),
the 991 isn't even that much larger in the metal, and...
