So the only reason to get a 15'' Ultraleggera over a 16'' is the price of tyres really (discounting the few grams of weight difference as they're both stupidly light)
Thanks for the reply.
Lovely, cheers everyone. I Think I've made up my mind... For this evening at least. 15's it is :) just hoping it wont look too tractor on my prolines until I've saved for coilies!
Yes you do have to declare it... If you don't and you have a serious accident, they will probably tell you were to stick it and you'll have to stump it yourself.
Terrible terrible idea to not declare mods.
There's pretty much no mods that you can make without telling your insurance.
So I understand the idea of having minimum unsprung weight, and a smaller wheel being lighter.
But weight aside, why would a 15'' wheel with a 50 profile tyre be better than a 16'' alloy with a 45 profile tyre? When the overall diameter of the tyre/wheel combination is almost identical?
I think if I go for it, it'll have to be 2118's or superturismo's. If im going to do it, I'm going to do it properly.
I read on a post on here that Turini's were 8.7kg. So it is a massive weight saving.
I've heard it's 4x and 5x in various places, but either way it's a massive weight saving.
I...
I had a look through the for sale section and there's been a lot of sets of turinis for sale for £400???
Sorry, I haven't made it very clear, £400 for the turini's plus £250 that I would spend on tyres as the fronts need replacing but I like to buy tyres in 4's.
As for style, I like the look...
How can you use that argument about the wheels???? You're suggesting that the standard 5- spoke wheels are the ultimate compromise between strength and weight for a track car??? Don't be a tool. You're just arguing for a stupid point for the sake of it.
Im looking at the possibility of selling my cup turinis as ive been looking at changing to 15's, so I figured I may as well do it now as I am in need of new tyres pretty soon.
So I have a few n00b questions for you all.
I figure my turini's are worth ~£400 + £250 for tyres. So what are the...
Megapixels means less than nothing, just a number really, as said though, trawl peoples pictures for good angles. You can get some pretty good shots with an average camera.
That's when he had decided on getting standard ones though....
Sorry, wasn't trying to be an arse, just saying he was looking at buying all four if upgrading.
What aftermarket speakers would you buy that wanted 20w rms???? Averagely, they're 50-100 rms and therefore vastly underpowered when running off the head unit.
If you want bass from front speakers, they have to be well sealed, this is where the biggest gains can be had.
10% equipment, 90%...
Amping your door speakers will make a huge difference!!! They just have to be fitted and sealed properly.
You can't possibly argue that having four times the rms power wont make a difference.
Good quality, amped and well fitted door speakers is all you need.
