I've been looking at the ktec one, but they only come in blue, black or half black with an anthracite knob and I pretty much hate all of them. The blue is the only possiblity as I guess it will match the blue trim on the inside of my car.
That would be ideal, I've watched a few on youtube, but they're all different volumes, difficult to tell how loud it actually is.
The only motorway driving I do is about 5 miles to work. Even if it's loud, I could deal with it. I just don't want anything silly that's going to get me pulled...
As said, I've been umming and arghing about whether to get a decat for the cup. Does anyone have this combination as a daily driver?
Is it silly loud? mostly concerned about motorway speeds as the stealth on it's own is reasonably civil when you're cruising.
There's quite a few cases where people have had their belts changed by various mechanics and mates and local garages etc, they've been done wrong and snapped.
As Daniel said, they're the same price, so take it to a specialist.
I had 2000's (they're called DS performance now) before I changed to the 2500's a couple days ago.
There's not a lot to tell between them in normal road driving. DS2000's are more than adequate for the road.
Just lay it down and push down on the piston... Just make sure you put something soft on the piston face first. Just a bit of rag or something will do fine.
It's beautiful mate.... But how are you going to get a coffin in it? Roof racks?
Also, the maintenance costs will be huge, but when you're paying pennies for insurance....
Is anyone else keen to delay it for a while? Or do we just want to do it this week and maybe organise another for a couple of weeks or something?
Next weekend I'll be free is Sunday 28th, but it would be better with more people there. Particularly for those who don't know anyone yet (me)
I wouldn't have said that was a lot of money?? couple of hundred quid over maybe, but it is a dealer.
Make sure you get a list of the damage that was done and reciepts for the work.
I've had a few things to do to mine this month, but it's just been bad luck that they've all come at once really.
As you said, get your servicing done by a specialist, just for the stamp. But anything else, I'm going to do myself. Even if you don't know what you're doing, someone on here will...
As above, Rentech are brilliant. There's several good specialists around the country.
Parts are much cheaper than for anything else with equivalent performance.
The engines, as long as they're serviced regualrly and looked after, are incredibly reliable. There's a lot of people with clio's...
