I got lined paper ripped out a note pad with "engine oil changed, plugs ok" wrote on it and a bill for a cambelt change "using genuine Renault parts" for £207!!

the megane used 2 different engines afaik the 100 and the 106hp, the 100 is the same as the clio lump, the 106 is the same as the mk3 clio with the 6 speed box.
im not sure on bell housing pattern so not sure how easy it is to use a JC5 gearbox on a 100 engine, as that way you can use the more...

dci will 99% have 58mm spacing ive never in over 30 cars saw a 52mm one not sure where these apparently were?! im not sure if ph1 cars had 52mm but ive saw Y and 51 plate ph2s that all had 58mm!
to fit 172 suspension it would need hubs and brakes.
maby it just has springs? they fit straight...
Bluefin do them with their handheld device so you don't need to travel and can do it yourself, but they aint cheap. , as does Fastchip.nl with his rstuner (although he only does the mk3 so 86/88/106 etc)

as said above there is quite a lot, or at least used to be, members on here who have tinkered with various Volvo engines of this era fitting them to early mk1 clios and 5 GTT's, although the turbo charged versions.

This!! the development cost for that shell etc was already done so they should have continued it as a standalone model, put the new corporate front end on it if they must and the 1.6t for the emissions reasons and it would have been a cracker!
