Looks awesome after the detail. It's amazing how much contamination there is upon delivery.
The back end and wheels look gash on that car though (The styling, not your work!)
Hehe. I'd already bought it before my post yesterday!
Definitely a remap. Just hoping to shift some bits from the garage to generate funds and then off to see dan at 519.
Still tempted by a rear arb, and see if any power flex bushes fit the front arb.
Also want to try my hand at alcantara...
Don't get any scraping with mine over speed bumps, but I'm running 17's.
Car looks good Moff. Interior is nice an clean too. Like the colour coding with the main bodywork colour.
Sounds sensible Adam. It's not like I'm pushing the clio beyond it's limits!
Still thinking of a remap anyway - a little more power never hurt anyone. ;)
So I've had my Clio about 18 months now. Love it. Cheap to run, does mega mpg, and it's been on a couple of track days now which albeit slow, were a hoot.
I've recently contemplated tarting it up a bit, for some more track use. However, I still need it to be a sensible daily.
Ideas included...
I'll agree the bilsteins are a better shock, but at least with the AP's you have adjustment to raise and lower the car.
Just depends on what the OP is after.
Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'
Looking good Cub. Last time I saw this was at Silverstone when Tony was racing - as long as I'm thinking of the same car!?
I know it's an old thread, but I have a similar question for my mk3.
What would be involve in fitting the recaros from another car (accord, vectra, etc), to my own car?
Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'
Flol! Well, yes, there was the driving option. Evil voices keep telling me to strip the dirty derv and fit braces. Then I realise it's a 1.5dci with 86bhp, and is my sensible daily.
Seriously tempted to sell the bike though to free up some fundage.
Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'
Looking forward to seeing the end result.
It's projects like this (and the others on here), that make me wish I could buy an older Clio to tart up for track use.
Got no way of towing it there though. Lol.
