Clio mk3 misfire help

Hi, I have a clio mk3 2006 1.4 and it has a misfire it seems to lose power and splutter also the engine management light flashes on and off.
The strange thing is that it seems to do this on and off, for 10 mins it drives fine then the next 10 mins it starts misfiring again also I smell a funny egg smell sometimes when it's misfiring.
i am hoping you could shed some light on what's going on I have used google and a lot of people say it could be the coil pencils need replacing or could it be anything else ?

Rotten egg smell is usually the cat. I'd get it looked at asap.

Misfiring could be plugs, leads, coil, lambda sensor(s).
