Having had a quick look at the phantom kit, I think on our cases thats a receipe for the diff circlip to pop constantly.

TBH I dont even know if the wiring will be there. I cant see why it wouldn't. It may not be set up in the ECU/UCH like it is in the 172's. which it may just need some config on the uch side.

You don't need to swap any of that. Wheel Squib Switch panel Clutch switch.

Yeh the print outs are somewhat to be desired, but the outputs are pretty good nowadays imo. I know of a 172 that is going onto another rolling road soon which shall be interesting for comparison.

The VVT is emissions related only. The 5k kick is literally the point where the engine finally gets all the fuel it wants. I agree fuel leaks are pretty major, but tbh they were probably parked up longer after the production period/at at dealer than the OP.

Port the head and a 1.8 Laguna SPI throttle body, match the inlet to suit it. Chris H used to get cracking results from these.
