bit off topic, but my post above about the carbon build up burning off, you had much dealings with it? ive googled it but its mostly high millage cars that are suffering from it, however ive never had it flat out for such a long time as i did lastnight, but funny enough that weird lag problem...

endless posts like this are driving this place into the ground. belts are cheap on these dont need any special tools, they are cheap as chips to do, even a garage will only charge about £100!

turns out it was a build up of carbon in the exhaust system burning out @ 125mph and causing a fire work show out the exhaust all over the motorway

waterpump, should always be changed at cambelt time on these engines, as i found out, i had one fail on me and toast an engine!

exatly, quicker spool up with decats on them, and id imagine when mapping and raising boost pressure more gains can be had. something to keep in mind though is the dci 100 runs the same exhaust as the 65 and 80 so id imagine not much gains to be had on the post cat system
