yeah they are alloys..early phase 1 alloys powdercoated black..kinda look a bit like steels i spose..i am not that old..lol..and it was a cap cheers...

well when i put the decat on i then took a connection off the battery for 5 minutes...then put it back on and started the car...this should of reset the ecu...therefore i am guessing my fueling should be right......hence the reason i am getting little popping....

well i had the 20 mile drive into uni this morning...and i didn't really get that many pops at all...i was trying but it seemed that it didn't want to....i had a few but not loads like others are talking about...
i have got some tapping somewhere to..probably my centre box...not constant but...
never had any problems really..had a guy in a mark 1 golf gti come up behind me very very quick...i let him sit right on my ass until i knew he was turning off and then just before he did i blipped the brakes....loved his expression...lol
even between 2 - 3k which is all i have been doing today as its on short trips it feels alot better on pick up......
i will have to wait til tomorrow to find out bout the pops...wish i could see the back for flames.....am just really concerned about the connection blowing although i used new...
i went for a bit of a longer drive again but again kept it below 3k......

also its weird the exhaust seems to be noisier at the end now were as before it seemed to be noisie all the way through...lol..if that makes sense
well i went out last night got the car up on stands and then sprayed all the bolts with wd40....
went back out this morning and got underneath to undo the bolts....2 moved and 2 were fooked...at which point i decided to go to a friends garage and get it up on ramps..
once there we had to...

in all seriousness..i would never buy a ctr as they are common as sh*t..the 182 would be to similar, if i had the money i would go for the rs3 on looks but i dunno...perhaps sell the shed...

the looks of the valver are so much better to.....i have had mine bout a year....and love it...spent out only on services really..except for when my clutch cable snapped...but that was easily sorted..

a blue 172 cup with va va voom in big letters in the rear windscreen passed me today as i was queing to get onto london road getting out of bath..
