Re: Discovered my 172 is a Import Mine is an import too. No probs with it at all. Apart from me doing the engine mounts in on a weekly basis!

Get hold of the engine and see if you can rock it. Or check them visually. Mine were easy to spot as the mount under the battery was in half as well as the subframe mount!

Yeah. I had this when both my nearside engine mounts broke.

3 bolts will be one for a 1.8 16v or 2.0 16v

My 1996 Clio 1.8 16v was on 150268miles when i sold it 3 weeks ago. Not bad for the most unreliable of the clio bunch lol! My secret was ragging it everyday and not really caring for it lol

You can remove them with a rangerover and chain ;) As for plates there is only 1 type that work. Super Specterguard Plate Covers are the only solution of its kind that I know of, and far more effective than spray-on solutions. Illegal in several US states and most of Europe, this blocks plate...

Inlet is the best bhp/£ gain really.

The valver was starting to show its age with rust etc. After 150k mile the engine wasn't at its best either. As for modding the 172 i don't think i'll really do much. Needs smoked side repeaters and inletmanifold work done by ben.

I'm used to speed so i don't scare myself much. Although i did over estimate the valvers handling capabilities once or twice lol

Tom - Right i've been driving it all week and had great fun. Just a few points that had stood out to me: The Toyo Proxies on the front are s**t compared to the Potenza re720's i had on the valver. Xenon headlamps are so much better then anything a valver will ever come up with lol...

LOL after the valver i am used to being eternally skint. Still haven't got a car which is as fast the the karts i used to race!
