I've just been out and done this (sounded fun) I tried to recreate his drive but with out the idleing bit at the start since technically the cars not moving but is using fuel with should give a negative reading lol. With the trip meter reset and i came out with 19.6 mpg. While sat there idling...

I've just fitted some apex springs to my 172 and have just noticed the fronts creak when you pull away. They also make the noise when you brake hard and the car settles again. Any idea what causes it.

172 is at the flywheel 140 atw isn't too bad if 18% transmission looses are taken into account.

Will be more like a couple of 1000 miles iirc. You will see a difference in a few days though.

Right get it on ramps. Check rear exhaust mount. Replace if needed. Take engine under tray off. Check subframe engine mount. Replace if needed. Check dog bone mount. Replace if needed. Lower ramps. Check both top engine mounts. Replace if needed. lol
