Me: Hi there can i have a price on some piston rings for a F7P 704 engine.
Dealer:ah the williams engine
Me:No, the 1.8 16v lump
Dealer:Ok, We dont do the pistons sperate,
Me: I Wanted piston rings!
Dealer: Ah, rigfht well we dont do those separate either, you have to buy the block.
Me: No...
My 172 is lowered 40mm on apex's can get over huge speed bumps that my mates xr2i lowered 50mm hit the exhaust. It only grounded out when i had the splitter on it.
Lol you worried me!
The VVT Just operates on oil pressure on the Pulley, adjusting it like a vernier pulley!
It switches over at 1400rpm at 800mb vacuum.NOT t 4-5000 like its sometimes said.
TBH if you havent got a guage, a rough guide to set it until youve got a guage. The longest gap between pullies(on the energy lump its at the front) twist the belt, if its more than 90degrees, then it needs to be tighter! But get a guage asap!
Where in devon are you based?
Im in somerset and can check it out if you want?
But anyway, if the marks were in the right position before you turned the engine and the belt didnt slip when you turned it your fine.
