16" Speedline Turinis and FK Silverline X Coilovers
Standard 15" Dynamique Wheels and Apex -60mm Suspension kit
only reason the turinis are on it is because you cant use the standard wheels with the fk coilovers because the tyre catches the strut. got 5mm wheel spacers coming for it...
Prepare to be VERY dissapointed lol.
they handle completely shite, even compaired to a standard 1.2 clio (which actually handles ok tbh)
for a 1.8 16v, they are no where near quick eather.
they do look quite nice in red though but still, not what id expect from a 1.8 16v warm/"hot" hatch
Girl driving a Blue 172 cup, coming out the BP garage in denny, i let you out at the junction and you gave a wave, was in the black dynamique with the same wheels as you :rasp:
noticed a cliosport sticker in the back window, anyone from here?
its straight forward enough when you get all the crap out teh road and when you've done it before! still always end up with cuts all over my hands tho lol
ive done 10k miles on mine and the box has been off twice and never noticed anything, although i did have the bolt snap clean in half in the gearbox but that was with the standard mount and due to the gearbox locking up because the cv joint went.
unless your doing all the work yourself go for another identical engine as its so much easyer and cheaper.
if you know what your doing and like a challenge go for something else. but would only be doing that if the shell/chassis is mint and work keeping!
they get 220bhp in S1600 form, and thats restricted. probably good for 240-250bhp N/A unrestricted apparently!!
but your talking tens of thousands for that sort of power.
i looked into the full 1600 thing when i blew mine up and was going to put a 1600 in it, could have got 140bhp out if...
gearboxes are mega fun on clios arn't they? NOT lol
ive done mine, although i just left the subframe on and dropped it down at the gearbox side, always manage to get gearbox oil everywhere lol.
when i was doing my engine, to save loosing gearbox oil (had just changed it 500 miles before) i...
bottom pick was -60mm Apex kit, top 2 pictures with the Speedline Turinis is FK Silverline X Coilovers, rear on max and front adjusted to suit, possibly about 75mm?
its going back on the 15s when my wheel spacers come, well if they come been waiting 2 months but performancedriven.co.uk are...
i dont know about the hard running in thing.
all our driving school clios with 60-120k miles on them are rapid compaired to low millage ones and they NEVER go above 3k revs apart from when i get a shot.
mine had never been over 3k when i got it at 115k miles, was very quick compaired to low...
RS tunning Remap £300 (i think)
Koni Adjustables £300
Eibach Springs £150
4x 15" 195/50 Eagle F1 GSD-3's £150
K&N Pannel Filter £35
decat/Sports Cat £100/£300
could always get bigger injectors and a bigger intercooler and possibly a bigger turbo but thats over budget, and probably not worth it!
think i read hes running a paddle clutch already so that shouldnt be an issue, shafts could be a problem although if you watch what your doing and dont lauch it hard or wheelspin they should be ok
rear washer could be disconnected where it joins the spoiler, does the rear washer work?
eather that or what sash_clio_girl said, the rear cluster. although mine has a habit of blowing the light fuse when you screw the rear passengers side cluster in to tight and then my n/s lights...
lift up the rear seat and see if its got a puddle under it on the passengers side, if so then its the rear window washer pipe thats leaking, seen a few of them do it, just remove the plastic pannel between the rear window and rear side window(bit the seatbelt comes out) and reconnect the pipe.
i wouldnt pay over a grand for it,
mine is on 145k miles, 02 plate dynamique interiorlooks brand new, steeringwheel has no wear, 1 parking dent is only downside, not 1 single swirl in the paint, not 1 kerb mark on any wheel, 4 brand new tyres, engines on 50k, gearbox on 10k miles 2new...
where do i start...
the exhaust is extremely loud
the ride is VERY stiff and harsh
its that low it catches everything (had to raise it because the bumper was catching dips and bumps in the road!)
its gutless before 3k so you need to kick its nuts in everywhere you go (back to the exhaust...
probably coilovers although tbh i wouldnt spend £700 again on suspension for a 1.2 16v clio so probably just apex-60mm again that was impressive for the money.
along with a 172 lower dogbone mount with k-tec/powerflex bushes and id leave it at that.
4 bearings after 16k miles?!!! you got 22" wheels or something lol
i always replace mine in pairs when doing them but im not paying a garage to do it so its not really any hastle anyway.
