Fair point. Since they were discontinued finding them for a reasonable price is actually quite difficult, you wouldn't have trouble selling them for a lot more than they were new. Shame.

As a £1000 odd car I wouldn’t replace the roof, it’s fine as it is and we leave it undercover 99% of the time anyway. The mot sheet states some on the underside as an advisory. It’s mostly surface rust as far as I can see but tbh I’ve not looked into it that much. The sills are in great condition.

Yes despite the car’s mainly cosmetic faults it still drives awesome.

That’s the worst thing about silver. I’ve never been fussed about having dirty cars, always used to challenge myself to see how long I could go without cleaning them throughout the winter. No point with silver as they still look clean after 3 months haha.
