Hi all,
So I saw this on collecting cars and realised I had to have it, so I got it 😬
My Clio 172 cup is staying for a bit too as I can’t bare to part with it. Just some pics of my new toy - I love it!

Yes I did - only 20 left or so and its in great condition - the guy I got it from rebuilt it and couldn't see any issue why it was CAT D - I was happy! It drives so good and is brilliant fun

I don't think so - although it definitely feels more powerful than the standard 230bhp - I think the turbo is different and a bigger intercooler

Yes so very happy! I've already had about 3 people ask to buy it and for more than I paid. The guy who sold it to me said it took him a year to find a normal non cut front bumper!

I now need to find a base for the cup and keep that in good nick too.

It's a car older than me, to only be cat D means it's held up better than I have 😂

It looks great. Think I'd have to change the wheels for something a bit more period rally style personally, as I don't think the ones on it do much for it.

Yes good point - I was thinking the same actually and was going to give it a small drop.

The list is:

Get new stereo as don't know the code and its tape deck
Give it a proper detail
Different wheels
Small drop

And then just enjoy for summer and hide it away at winter

I work in shipping but work with a lot of US buyers who purchase vehicles in the UK, we collect and ship to them.

Any jap vehicle in the UK over 25 years old should be advertised as US exportable tbh. They're even starting to buy all the cheap 1.4 Civic EK's

Doesn't surprise me at all. You only have to watch the likes of Adam LZ, TJ Hunt etc on YouTube. They've created massive hype about JDM cars over there. People are going absolutely bonkers for them. Good for current owners I guess, but bad for anyone that wants to buy one.

I've heard there are loads of R34s in the US that are being stored ready for when they turn 25.

I remember these so well back in the 90’s. Chap down the end of our village had one. It just looked a different level of Aggro than any other car of its time. I remember, back then, being shocked a car that small being so powerful…before being tuned. Shows how far the world has moved on now, but that was probably 25 years ago at least
