The good news is that the OZ Ultraleggeras 16" wheels fit with 300mm discs, PMS mounted brembos . There is a good 2-3 mm clearance. The other good news is that I will be able to ditch the spacers and long wheel bolts now as the ET on the Oz wheels is 36 or 37.
Looks fine. Great way of learning is doing jobs like that. Do an oil change, air filter and oil filter change next. Gives you great satisfaction knowing you have done it yourself. Also worth getting any tools you might need before, nothing worse than having to put it all back together to be able...
Also if anyone buys this make sure it has the new flexi centre section as the old one breaks really quickly around the joins and it is possible Scorpion wont warranty these insurance write offs.
Hi,
Im 6'1 and found with the regular Recaro mounts meant I sat quite high. It was still acceptable sitting that high.
With the lower ones I am now sitting perfectly and quite low. I also removed the 8mm plastic spacers.
Trophy Recaro mounts are 10mm higher than oem Recaro mounts. I believe...
I have finally fitted both lower drivers side ones. They are incredible well made I will give it that. And now when i get into the car I fall into the seat. I also removed the plastic spacers for those extra few mm.
There is no question that B14's would be much better than replacing the shocks and springs. For the extra £150 there is no doubt about it. Just do it. Make sure you get the right ones (60mm hub bolt spacing on cups )
I have B14's on one of my 182's and also cup shocks and eibachs on the other...
Wheels look great in silver, they did a good job on those. I agree the bullets should be standard silver. Not keen on the trophy sill stickers myself.
Also for the brakes as it looks you are doing it properly, get some of this ...

Check that link as it has loads of good info.
My opinion is that it looks brilliant, is a bit of a pain to fit and get it to line up right. As @dann2707 says you do need to dremel or file a bit of the boot lid to get...
I have a miltek just like yours and also have driven a trophy for 3 hours with a PMS exhaust (with the PMS sports cat package) and am really very impressed by the pms system. It is just like the miltek when just pottering about or in the motorway doing 70 - fairly quiet and doesnt drone. It has...
Rear (side)ones are not curved so you could always buy lexan or plexiglass sheet and just cut it yourself using a fine toothed blade on a jig saw.
Edit- sorry misread your post.
Looks aircon related, im probably wrong though. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BEHR-HELLA-GERMANY-AIR-CON-AC-CONDITIONING-LEAK-DETECTOR-UV-DYE-1000ML-OIL-FLUID-/170868926043
Perhaps some of that stuff?
Ahhh thats terrible news Euan, really am gutted for you after all the massive amount of work you put into that car. would definitely make sense to buy the car back off the insurance and take all the brakes, supercharger etc off and put into another MX5. Or buy another clio :up:
Perhaps take out a subscription to Lovefilm from Amazon for a month or two. Its a blueray rental service and pretty good. They have all the 3d films and will save you having to buy them. I find once I have watched a film I rarely watch it again except of course Shaving Ryan's Privates.
Life of...
Agree, have a look on ebay, I bought some genuine rear discs and pads from renaultpartsdirect on ebay for £97 delivered but there are Mintex equivalents much cheaper. If it is the bearing that has gone then worth checking the state of that rear washer that sits behind the discs as that sometimes...
