do you get gtt brakes ?.....does anythin happen with the steerin column, do you definitely need the 5GTT dials.............etc...........
eventually i will be replacing my clutch (if i dont get a GTT engine first !)
and while thats bein done i thought it would be a good time to get a lightened flywheel, seems you can get it done for about £50, saw a few adverts in CCC
what difference does it make though, does it add any extra...
i wouldnt bother myself with sound deadenin, no matter how much you use your still gonna hear it
not sure on legal level but the coppers thought i had built the system myself, thought i was a mechanic, once i told them it was a bought system then they let off a little, but said i was drawing a...
for less heat, the hill power kit is heat shielded but there is a load of room in the RT bay to move the filter to a cooler location
if its crap then can always go back to my HP kit, but i wanna try it, and K-Tec do a relocation kit for the 1.2 16v, so im not sure it will be a problem
plus...
lol, i told you it was very loud
ive lined my boot in brown bread, but the exhaust is so loud i dont think anythin is gonna stop you hearin it
peeps seriously dont understand just how loud that exhaust is until they hear it, and mine didnt get quieter the sound just changed slightly, so...
right, next week im goin a filter place near where i live, to try an get some hose sorted to relocate the RT filter away from the engine, as there is definitely room to do it
what i need to know though, is about the hose bore and filter size
i wanted to use a big filter, but the guy said...
by how much did it fail the emissions ?
if it wasnt very much then try some fuel system cleaner, use a proper one though
i think BB do one thats supposed to be a lot stronger than off the shelf stuff
otherwise id try the Ecotek Power Boost Foam, or Wynns Xtreme Fuel System Treatment....
yea but once up to temp mate there all the same
at start up my car now runs VERY well, a hell of a lot better than before, it drives like its warmed up already, even in this weather !
dont use additives, especially Slick 50, it contains solid PTFE particles
id recommend a fully synth 5W-40, such as what im usin at the moment, Total Quartz 9000
im on 91k
on the BMC website (U.S.) it says the kit doesnt come with the required oval adapter
and Passion have told me that they no longer stock the Clio 16v kit because of this problem, but said if you manage to get an adapter they will order/sell you one no problem....
if i was you mate, id try an get hold of some NGK Gold/Platinum/Iridiums
ill try an find out if there available, computer is playin up at the moment though
with a Cup, you definitely want fully, you just spend loads on a new car, look after it !
oils will mix fine, you dont have to flush
Mikey....15W-50 is specified afaik, but when the Clio was made they didnt have the advanced oils they have today, trust me, give a 5W-40 a try and you will no...
40 is the hot rating......an indicator of its viscosity at high temps and its ability to cope in extreme conditions
50 is for the track though in my opinion..........even the likes of Porsche dont specify a 50 in there engines, in fact i dont think ive ever seen a 50 Porsche approved oil...
for a top up, then yea, but as long as its not the 15W-40 version
if i was you id get some 5W-40 though, preferably what you intend on usin when you do an oil change
after doin mine today i can recommend Total Quartz 9000 5W-40, should be available at all Total/Elf stations.....if not then...
