Did they buy the number plate with the car too?

    Tom's Meg 225 - The Clio Replacement

Pace wise it doesn't feel massively different to my Clio. The extra torque is noticeable though so it might well be quicker on track. It's much nicer to drive on the road though!

High pressure power steering leak - out of ideas :(

I've got a high pressure hose ready to post. Replacement is the only fix. There's the connection at the PAS rack by the steering column joint and a couple of bolts securing the pipe along its length. It's not a bad job, bit of patience and some rags and a tub to catch the oil is all you need...

    Tom's Meg 225 - The Clio Replacement

It's not fitted yet. It'll be another week or so before I drive it with it fitted.

Lovely car, I'd love to own one but prices are a bit high for me hence owning a Renault!

    Poly/Plastic Windows

Removing the electric windows and replacing the glass saves 15kg. Thermoformed windows look oem compared to flat sheet. You can get lexan which scratches or hardcoated with marguard which is scratch resistant (and it works!) I happen to have a full set of brand new poly windows for sale which...

    Tom's Meg 225 - The Clio Replacement

Cheers dude! Its amazing how a different set of wheels and some lows transformed it. I'd like to do a bit more weight saving to it such as polycarb windows, carbon bonnet and lithium battery but that's a lot of outlay on about 40kg of weight saving. Instead I'm looking at going halves with a...

    Tom's Meg 225 - The Clio Replacement

Thanks for clearing that up :) Just need to find a rear one that fits, might be able to tweak a 250/275 superpro one to fit.

    Tom's Meg 225 - The Clio Replacement

After breaking my Clio, and the other Clio I got to replace the first Clio... http://www.cliosport.net/threads/itbd-road-track-ph1-titanium-172.682060/ ...I needed a new track day car that was more suited to dual duty in hauling a family around with me for days out etc. So it needed to be as...

Quite like these. There was a boosted one at an Oulton Park trackday I did a while back and it was easily the quickest thing there tbf.

Cub's Flamer - Supercharged, Cage etc

The recommended 450/450 setup. But I've got an uprated front ARB to fit...at least I hope it fits, it should in theory! Breaking boundaries never before attempted I opted for the double digressive pistons, Curtis hadn't tried them on a Meg before so they're a trial set really. It'll be...

Cub's Flamer - Supercharged, Cage etc

What spring rates have you gone for cubby bear? I've got my ASTs fitted to the new car. I'll be at the Oulton Rs day in that. Curtis got them to me in 6 weeks, they came from Holland so pretty good service really.

Kawasaki H2R - Isle of Man TT (It's bloody nuts)

Another guy I work with has a thunderace tuned to 194bhp at the rear wheel. He's running aftermarket management and has a tilt sensor fitted which retards spark based on the angle of the bike. So you can whack the throttle open and it won't go beyond a set angle.

So many lovely cars! Why do a lot of the BMWs have the bonnets open so you can see all the plastic covers?

    172 Ph1, 2 and 182 subframe difference?

Yes it'll be bottoming out. May as well fit a cup one, you'll get a little more camber from it as the holes sit further out.

    172 Ph1, 2 and 182 subframe difference?

Ph1 21mm land on wishbone mounts, Ph2 16mm, cup 11mm. Cup shafts are the same length as the normal ph2 shafts but are one piece instead of equal length. Ph1 are 20mm shorter and one piece. Tie rods are different too, cup ones are 15mm longer, all the others are the same. Cup wishbones have...

Ph1 172 Track Car. Next Year I Go Racing - Hopefully!

It is more than likely due to the rod bolts. They're a known weak point.

    T4RKO 172 Cup

I noticed it packing it but as you say they are both identical. I didn't look at it in the car so I assumed they were profiled. It looks like they're intended to be that way.

    AD52 BHP

:cool:Cool! Glad you've got them now. I left the end of the linkage connected to the box so if you don't touch anything and just connect the rod with the nut and bolt it should be pretty much spot on. The only PITA is adjusting the heatshield under the car. I found it use to knock the...
