Sounds like a duf UCH if it does it again check that everything work had one in, i had to break in to it (long story) but no central locking non start no light no wipers nothing.
I know no some scenics ive seen they can make them non start or run like a bag of nails due to EGR and boost sensor and refrigereant pressure sensor on the same kind of 5V feed thing, but im unsure if it will do it on a clio.
Exhaust on RS are rubbish they rarely see 3 yrs old, that was a bodge job that some one got and fitted on there like a mate of a mate job. Who ever did hat must be mad.
Well i have never seen a non gen back box like that on a clio of any kind, but its deffo not genuine and a pure load of rubbish. The mid section look like its from another clio but 1.4/1.6 have smaller middle boxes, it look like someone has taken it out the skip. If your car was having trouble...
no normally they over read so you really want to go though a speed carmea doing 50 as per speedo but actual speed is 57mph, the dails come apart but its very flidly. The needles is tight to get off use the handel of 2 tea spoons and lift it of from either side so you get constant pressure.
Capital seating do them for like £1300, if you want just the frame its £1000 from renault as we had one in the frame had broken and it was £1000 just for the frame on it own.

just to point out some of the MK2 ph1 dont have the sender in the radiator, it uses the temp sensor in the cylinder head which goes to the injection computer which then tells the fan to cut it. check the little black relays in the relay box next to the battery theres 3 of them depending on...

Neil when you open the drivers door the Vin number will be on a sticker on the car, it will start VF1CB..... and is 17 digits long.
Engine Number is on the V5C reg doc
You are all old :rasp: , i was thinking the exhaust is big and heavy but sounds gd and is staying till funds are better, as i only work for renault i dont own renault.
