if it was me id buy a nice standard 172/182 - make sure its running full health and enjoy it. then at a later date some cheap mods - fresh set of genuine dampers, sportline springs, new track rods and ends, geometry setup, decent pads and a brake fluid change all of them will sharpen it up...

i use mine every change, never get out of first around town. makes it kinda hard when i get into another car as i forget to change gear.

JC5 DCi 80 box is ur best bet, no stronger than the 172 box but better suited ratios

172 at 17 (bought it the week before my 18th lol!) sold it at 20, bought my ph1 @ 20 and then my 200 at 22

engine failed at 2500 miles, replaced under warranty now box is playing up 75 miles later lol back in it goes!

as long as it has a meaty 220lbft mid range on it it will be awesome, none of this crap 170 odd or what ever a corsa vxr has!

i dont see what all the hate is about with modern turbo engines for hot hatches, if done properly they are awesome, the 200 doesnt need anymore power, it does need loads more mid range grunt though! a 200hp turbo charged engine would have been ideal! maby im just getting old!

yeah see what happens, im giving them the chance to put it right first as i genuinely love the car, if they dont put it right properly first time, i was told i would have it back within 10 days this is day 9 and still no sign of an engine so its not looking good! it will be going to the next stage!

well to be honest i dont see the problem if someone gives you a date then there is clearly an issue on there part if your a fool for beleiving it?

tried to phone the dealership all morning no answer from service dept at all, eventually phoned renault who chassed it up for me

7 days later engine still isnt here, so much for their original 1 day for an engine, then 5 days then 5 to 7 now on day 7 still no engine! patience is getting VERY VERY thin! just want the thing back!
