i loved mine, massive step up over a 172/182, obviously not in performance they are pretty much on par ive found, 200 handles and stops much much better though.
engines character is different from a 172/182, its smooth and nice to drive low down which i felt the older ones wern't, mid range...
exactly! its not the end of the world.
engine was authorised by renault warranty today and is on order, 5 days lead time, hoping to have it back in 10 days, they have extended my mondao hire car as i dont want a shitty curtisy car and quite like the mondao for what it is!
crankshaft bearing...
totally was telling one of my mates a few days ago how life is just going to plan and couldnt be better! now a week later i just need to lose my job and thats everything screwed lol!!! that bad its quite funny now!
as above car is the last of my worries the now but hey ho life goes on! not bothered about anything to do with resale etc i just trade in after a year or 2 anyway, what i am worried about is the dealers complete lack of ability to carry out my 18k service on my dci without the car having to be...
i think pretty much regardless of whats happening with it it will be getting a new engine, what i decide to do with it after that we will see! not sure i want a performance car that cant stand up to the way a performance car should be driven!
nearly 2 months lol, waiting to see the final diagnosis before i take any action, could end up being something silly but for something to be proper knocking and banging loudly and loss of engine power that doesnt sound good to me!
AA have just recovered it, guy said it sounds like bottom end failure, woop woop!!!!
got a big f**k off diesel mondaeo, its the most strange handling car ive ever driven! horrible!
2 months old im the first owner. bloddy renault. on the phone to my favourite dealers trying my hardest to stay calm at their "were fully booked until next week and have no curtisy cars" attitude.
it genuinely sounds like somethings let go in the engine.
great. 2200 miles on the clock, pulling up through the revs on the motorway and suddenly BANG, engines knocking its head off, car shuddering and cuts out.
hope my curtisy car is half decent!
depends in the car, either way the 1.6 dci is the better engine. closely followed by the 1.5 DCi.
turbocharged petrol "eco" engines are ok in theory still got a bit to go yet before they are equaling diesels
i would be very surprized if hes stuck a genuine renault exhaust on it? that plus discs and pads is probably the best part of £800 odd quid! someone will probably be able to confirm that? i know they arnt cheap!
Renault's first turbocharged, direct-injection petrol engine – the Energy TCe 115 – is particularly responsive. Thanks to peak torque of 190Nm, a figure worthy of a two-litre powertrain and available from as low as 1,750rpm, the Energy TCe 115 delivers the acceleration and mid-range response...
dci without a doubt 1.2 tce's arn't great on fuel, about the same as a 1.2 16v on fuel but with a bit more power. DCi is leagues ahead in fuel consumption
i beleive both the 1.2 tce100 and 1.4 tce are being replaced with the new 1.2 tce115
1.5dci has 65 to 110bhp depending on model, its the 1.6dci that has 130bhp
