yeah ive noticed that when ive been up at my mates bodyshop, just never fully understood it! lol ahh well if im driving about with a slightly different shade bumper for a week or 2 ill just need to get the car dirty lol
yeah i know its not going to be a 100% match its getting painted once i get back from wales on sunday just dont understand the different shades thing, i understand that sun, weather etc all fade it over time but surely the paint code being the same means a colour is a colour?
so its the correct colour as i first thought just chances are its a different shade? how does this different shade patter work surely a colour is a colour?!
i got asked why i had a stupid loud exhaust on my car and got a bit defensive arguing it was over £1k's worth of performance exhaust parts lol but didnt make any difference so now i just smile when i get asked it
need someone who can tell me all different colours of red that were avalible to have on a mk2 ph2 clio in 2001
bought a red bumper from a 2001 car, i have a red 2001 car and just wondering the chances of it being the same?
all the bumpers were the same price and going to need painted when i...
id more be looking at changing the worn out suspension parts, my 172 is on 40k/5yr old and i changed both bottom arms (with new bushes) both trackrod ends, 4 dampers (i got 172 cup items while i was at it) and eibach springs and what a difference it made! the car felt brand new, the little bit...
5800rpm i used to change.
when we were 17 my mate had a 1.4 saxo with a few mods and i had a 1.2 16v clio with a few mods and we used to have a right laugh his was very slightly faster to get rolling and mine was a bit quicker when it got going, those were the days you could put £10 in the car...
it will be fine, stick a pannel filter in, set of sparkplugs, some decent oil and genuine filter and change the gearbox oil and it will be fine!
i dont know enough about the older engines to say wether u shud change the leads etc while your at it!
gearbox oil is easy peasy once you remove the airbox ull see the little (think its plastic) filler cover, it unscrews off (mine was quite tight but im weak!) then i got a bit of hose pipe and a funnel and re filled it (once it had been drained and plug refitted obviously lol)
also is it 3.5L...
no need for a rebuild at that its just at its prime if its been well looked after.
2 of my mk2s have done 140k and 145k and are both still going strong
cars all back together, belt not done yet as didnt have the correct tools they were for an F4R megane/Laguna, gonna price up the tools or get someone to do it.
matched inlets, thermal gaskets are fitted and look awesome!!!..
now just needs....
k-tec backbox fitted
Back bumper and Cup...
but the dent isnt going to give u more bhp per tonne is it?! lol its quite a big dent considering the diameter of the pipe, surely it will bottle neck the flow?
as far as i can see they are ok on RS cars, the few problems they have caused (it destroyed my box, manifold and cat!) have been on non RS cars with only 3 engine mounts, not 4 like an RS
non cup 172 for me, nearly the same inside same toys etc apart from cruise (unless u get an 04 plate)
IMO the wheels are better looking on the 172
the rear looks better without the 182 wheelbarrow look!
but after driving my 172 with a 182 manifold, i dunno if i could go back!!
i think you might just been unlucky and its not actually UCH
when you say the aircon stops working do you mean just the aircon or the fan? if its the fan thats not working it could be the (forgot the name of the part!!) under the scuttle pannel, comon fault.
washer could just be a faulty...
i also had a problem where when i took my foot off the acelerator the car jumped as if the engine mounts were gone/loose but they were brand new, turned out to be a shafted driveshaft (it hadnt been making any clunks or noises)
