i spent thousands on a 1.2 16v before eventually buying a 172.
honestly, i dont regret it one bit was a brilliant car! go for it. im doing a turbo conversion for a mates 1.2 16v in the next couple of months! hes not sure if hes going to source the bits from a TCE or go custom. tbh i wouldnt...
no no, i wont be driving it without an MOT, was just curious if i could use it for work today or not, its now parked down the bottom of the drive way untill my handbrake cables come :(
it wont pass both handbrake cables have snapped and been on back order from renault for 3 weeks now! got one side just not the other, and they keep saying it should be here soon!
but atleast i can use it for work today and im off friday satarday so i can try and sort it out!

its a really easy job the cambelt so if you cant do it yourself a local garage will probably do it for not much over £100.
my 2002 was on 140k miles and going strong untill cambelt snapped, would still be going strong today if it hadnt probably
he means in inferno 182
dynamique is really nice with they 172 wheels and grill, would look sweet on a set of coilovers :D
megane is really cool in inferno quite like teh silver wheels actually!
in the last 7 years weve had....
2001 1.2 16v expression
2002 1.2 16v Dynamique
2003 2.0 16v 172
2004 1.2 16v expression
2005 1.2 16v Extreme 4
2007 1.2 16v expression
still own the 2007 1.2 16v which is getting replaced this summer and the 172
my 1.2 16v flew past 145k miles no problem, never had one single problem with it all that had been changed was coil pack and clutch.
if the cambelt hadnt gone it wud probably still be going now!
there has been loads of times when people have been done for speeding or dangerous driving etc for recording and posting on the net, but just in this case hes ok, as long as you watch wht your doing you should be fine! lol but you do have a valid point wasnt trying to argue
yeah i once had a camera mounted to my bottom grill on my 1.2 16v when it was lowered about 90mm and it looked like an F1 car bouncing all over the place lol wasnt even going that quick!
its hard to notice a difference only time i notice it is pulling out a junction close to my house, it feels a bit flat if i go for a gap but next junction just down the road its fine!
no need to remove the front bumper i done it on axel stands.
mine had the wiring (remove the passengers side fog light cover and you'll see if its there) but mine had the basic UCH so didnt work even with the wiring and new stalk. luck of the draw you might be ok might not.
