yes, I have them on mine, best way is to convert to 172 wide track, so use everything from a mk2. mine has driveshaft's, wishbones, anti roll bar, hubs, brakes and I use Williams front struts with bolt holes eased out to fit 172 bolts and the 172 hubs have been machined narrower to accept the...
on a side note, never sure which way to put the springs, helpers above or below mains. The FK were mains underneath, KW's I've opted for the other way around based on just pics on the KW website showing them that way round!lol!
26-08-2017 KW V2 Coilover fitting
After affixing the whiteline and rear dampers to the car, I also took the opportunity to fit my KW V2 front coilover units.
I have used the stiffer 500lb aftermarket springs on them and set them to approx. half way on the dampening adjustment for now to see...
26-08-2017 whiteline and koni adjustable fitting
So the weather was miiiiiint and had some time to kill, time to play with the chassis.

ai as all have said, align it as is and use it, see how it feels and revise and improve from there
I would guess better pads will be pretty much the first thing to do, 2500 are more a road based pad, I personally use CL RC6 although about to upgrade to wildwood 4 pots, 293mm discs and DS 1.11 pads
I have'n't @gez 172 i'm afraid, always been useless with videos, I used to have a gopro and recorded a few trackdays but never did anything with the footage
all I have on youtube is a couple of starting and idling vids I think, that's it!lol!
last time I rebuilt mine I used mineral oil for 100 miles or so and just drove it 'sympathetically' so no redline but not mothering it completely either, then changed the oil and thraped it.
cracked the block eventually but that was poor mapping and no sympathy on track, lol
