Cheers guys :-) she's been a labour of love for few years, loving actually being able to use her again, even for a quick pint on summers eve, can't upload a pic as my phone is basically s**t
as i'm tight I tend to trawl the classified for good used ones, just make sure the seller has checked the piston, sliders and bleed nipple are all free
I was dubious about them, but since first outing at Cadwell, the torque spread is much much improved over stock, was holding higher gears a lot more, third was used sparingly!
whats it the kids put now.......pfa?
Few more shots from the day
love slicks!!
and some small thumbs of the pro shots which I will buy soon :) shows the still evident body roll, hopefully the KW's will help with this!
cheers all
Ben
So, did Cadwell last Thursday, and after a shakey start (not a NS2-R fan it transpires) I had a cracking day.
Car performed pretty well, brakes were a bit of an issue and ended up changing to new RC6 pads at lunch, which half cured the issue but I think my fluid is past its best.
Weather...
daily 182 - 170k ish, my sisters using it at the mo though so not seen it in few weeks
daily 172 phase 1 - 145k and although I don't want to be I'm using it daily, see above
track car mk1 F4R - no idea, parts are from all over so engine doesn't match clocks which doesn't match shell, lol, its...
just read from start to finish, great that you have had it on track in several iterations already so get the benefit of changes felt from splashing cash on mods
PMS shifter and Roll Centre kit are two of my favourite mods, only ones that made equal (perhaps more of a) difference were...
depends on what you use the car far in all honesty, road use some brembo HC discs and ds2500 pads are more than sufficient and for rears i'd just go to RDP for Renault originals

Hit a stumbling block, I haven't managed to ease out the bolt holes in the KW V2's in time, and with only 2 days to go didn't want to leave the car in bits any longer
as such I have refitted the FK's for Cadwell. In some ways this may be a blessing in disguise as I can get a feel for each...
Fitted my new inner tie rods today and also got my KW V2 coilovers in that post, so I'll need to ease the bolt holes in them to fit the 172 bolts and get them on :-) this is as they are clio mk1 Williams fitment and the mk1 run smaller bolts.
Then I'll set my camber and track it, dial in a bit...
not that much lighter, there's a chap on the facebook group with a phase 1 down at 806kg with all standard panels (no FG) admittedly he's only got a half cage but I reckon strip cage out both of ours and talking mk1 only about 20kg lighter. Book weights for a mk1 phase 1.5 and mk2 phase 1 aren't...
Oh weighed the car at work again, and with some strange maths to compensate for known differences from last time, its 855Kg with a sniff of fuel in.
on the day it was 880kg with 1/2 tank and the heavy wheels on it.
I have also calculated that with the slick shod OZ Superleggera, passenger seat...
love a good man maths track car spend, you'll have a much more enjoyable time even as a beginner with tyres and brakes you can trust and lean on a bit imo, good work!
enjoy!
so, car back together, waaaaay to much camber on and tracked by eye on a wonky drive, I grabbed my phone, taxed the sucker and blasted off out into Derbyshire!!!
what a motor!!! drove awful, pulling all over the place and tramlining like a right git, so no review of the ACS kit yet as I badly...
