    The Odyssey Phase 1 172

Cheers Steve, I'm still torn as I'd love it totally stock.... But I think only to sell it and as I want to (and think I can justify so) keep it, it needs to be more 'me' and I'm very much an oe+ kind of guy Glad you 'get' it though

    The Odyssey Phase 1 172

Cheers Elliot! I'm a huge Williams wheel fan, think your right though, exporting a set would not be a cheap undertaking. Pretty unique car over there it would make though ;-)

    Need some advice

It'll be reet for short journeys, just keep eagle eye on the fluid level in tank and don't rev the tits off it. As you say if you can avoid using it until it's fixed do so but knowing lads in fire service your usually within few miles of station so it'll make that trip if needed

Super unleaded or fcuk it normal

i tried to run my old 172 on normal BP 95 RON and it used to splutter and loose power all over the shop, on the Ultimate it was fine, so since then for the sake of 2 quid a tank or whatever it works out at, I've always run my F4R engines on some form of Super unleaded, be it Shell, BP, Tesco...

    Black gold 182 diary.

Great write up and truly lovely looking car, in some ways it's a shame you modded it at all. Even down to the bulbs. But if I did mention that it would be very much pots and kettles so I'll stay quiet :-)

    Exhaust springs engine

engines require big money to gain anything tangeable really, best bet is just chuck a stainless exhaust on, decent panel filter in the airbox and RSTuner map it to get her running healthy and pretty much stock power (they always run lower than book tbh) cooksport or eibach sportline springs are...

you've already covered it in the question, replace top mounts with ones in link below, and add a standard 172 front lower gearbox mount http://www.vibra-technics.co.uk/renault/clio_1_18_williams and then get a polybush kit for the dogbone mount, or buy one from me, I have three in the shed...

Camera Mount Above Clock - 1*2

It's only few bolts whip dash off, I'd then drill couple of holes and bond some nuts to the underside. Then you can use some small bolts through the camera mount and remove when not in use. If you did that with self tappers the holes are going to pull through pretty quick after couple of refits
