when i setup a modded firmware on my linksys WRT54G to boost the signal strength it was getting too hot so i modded it.....
Sticky ram heatsinks fitted and cut a bit out the top to fit an 80mm LED fan, then made some holes in the front to help the airflow!
EDIT: Fan was only running at...
i would have went for a 5400rpm laptop hard drive, uses a lot less power than a 7200rpm 3.5" and stands up to shocks better which is ideal for a car computer.
cars lowered -60mm on an apex kit and i thought removing the back seats would make quite a big difference on a small engine? ill give it a go next time ive got nothing to do!
thinking of striping my back seats out the car since 1.2s are terrible with 3 or more people in them anyway!
thing i was wondering was would the back end be too light without the back seats and be too twitchy or more likely to spin?
cheers!
ohh a dash dimmer, COOL! lol if i was to get that black pannel with both dials/switches on it, could i just plug it into mine and it would dim the dials, even although mine isnt a dynamique and doesnt have that feature as standard? as ive noticed ive got an extra connector behind that pannel so...
looking at pictures of all 172s and most dynamiques i notice they have an extra switch beside the headlight level switch was just wondering what it does? ive pointed it out in the pic
you sure it wasnt a 1.2 extreme with turinis they come in mondial or a very VERY simmilar colour and have the body tinted strips instead off colour coded
listen to that man ^ lowering is the best way to make a small engine car faster
lol at the 135bhp 1.4 with the K&N and chip like has already been said 3-5bhp gains if the K&N is getting enough cold air if not then you'll be losing power.
wheels defo need changed but if you like them then...
seen allys blue 172 parked up at the retail park in falkirk tonight (well actually my mate said wow look at that colourcoded clio its a smart as f**k colour!) then when i came back out of mcdonalds he pointed it out and i saw it was yours! looking good nice and shiney and low! as usual
night...
welcome to the forum
forget the superchip and lower it, then once you do some mods to the engine get it remaped to take the mods into account, superchips are pointless on small engines (or so i was told) infact their pointless on most engines without a turbo
turn the lights on then off 3 times and it will beep at you telling you the auto lights are turned on again (dont know how they turned off in the first place!)
i can make my 1.2 16v wheelspin at the start of 2nd when its dry too just not good for mr clutch lol infact ive had my mums 1.2 16v wheelspinning in 3rd when it was wet!
about the de-cats though what about the emissions light does it come on or put the car into limp mode? thinking about...
DRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
somthing a bit like that LOL
na seriously it will have a nice roar to it, well worth it just avoid the k-tec relocated kits i praised mine untill i drove a car with the airbox on again and realised how much low down...
my mates taking the airbox to his work to modify it to allow better airflow and he said the free'est (that a word?) flowing filter he can think of is an HKS element so were going to mod one to fit mine.
but the tight is a good idea? is it reliable tho eg does it rip easy?
i got charged £18 a month for "non factory alloy wheels", "air filter/performance induction" and "lowered/uprated suspension"
that was the day i passed at 17
