Yeah, in isolation they look great when well modified, but there are so many E36 Sport models that are in shocking shape and owned by pikeys compared to nice examples. I like them, but would never want one.

What was the spec of the Le Mans car then? N/A makes the noise, doesn't it? Turbo's aren't great for race cars really, not good power delivery, poor throttle response, heat issues...

How reliable are the 4 rotors then? Probably going for a K20 or K24 conversion at the end of the season, but would love a 4 rotor if i could find evidence that they are a) reliable b) parts are plentiful and c) rebuild-able by any competent engine builder.

Thanks for posting! Interesting to see the petrol blue 172 with those wheels and cream interior. I've seen the wheels on French Sport models before, but never the interior. It's like a Sport/Initiale cross over. These would make a nice garage collection...

LOL @ expensive. You did plenty of research then! I only like the S1 if it is bog standard, as it has a sort of retro coolness. Otherwise it just looks bent and the S2 is far better looking if your going to start tinkering...
