if all you've done is crease the sill a little should be fine. is the floorpan okay and the roof hasn't rippled (or rippled more, most seem to be like the north sea anyway these days)
nah not a mocal oil cooler, they are good, I mean the Renault oem one that runs via the main coolant system, total toss and of no benefit to man nor beast ;)
ai afraid still not keen chap, however your car so your rules ;)
Samcos yes one of each, one main kit one aux kit and just buy the none oil cooler one if you can and bin the cooler off if you have one fitted, pointless crap imo!
used, around 7 years old I think now and a bit scratched here and there and a bit faded. they came from P4P originally and I think I still have the original receipt for something silly like 300 with the slider kit
pm me an offer chap as tbh mk1 parts are hard to price these days, lol!
yeah I've kept the sunroof in mine, rest is poly
got a spare set of mk1 poly's with sliders and pov spec rear seals, straight fitment if your interested ;)
I run the RS192 with all silencers and cat still in place, its pretty quiet. louder than standard but not by much. I use the car daily and don't find it intrusive at all
I believe the only quieter system is the fully silenced miltek
I also ran a janspeed for a while, that was fairly quiet too...
sort of Duncs problem really, to much boozing, not enough building. think ive completed about 3 projects in time its taken him with his uno
however he has finished an entire house, so que sera sera I guess
Fraid not Martin. as mentioned I've had to remove the link pipe on the exhaust currently, rendering the car immobile, due to the linkage fouling completely on the lambda.
review to follow when I hopefully refit the exhaust at the weekend and 'give it some' :)
Acquired a PMS kit for a 172 other week for a decent price
Fitted it to the mk1 track car this weekend with basically no modifications (small filing out of one hole on the base which I think was perhaps drilled wrong anyway as its was offset from the others)
Pretty sure I'm the first person to...
oh, I also replaced the alternator for the spare I picked up and sussed out part of the issue. Like a plank I had attached the adjustment bracket to the wrong side of the flange on the block, thus meaning I had to use the spacer. I have moved the bracket to the correct side and now, bingo no...
Fitted my new oreca wrap round seats and PMS shifter this weekend just gone
The PMS shifter fitted no problem to the mk1 and I think I'm safe in saying I'm the first to do this. All I have to do was file one of the mounting holes out slightly to fit the chassis mounting studs.
Adjustment took...
Uno for a bit just to say you've owned one. god awful things though, mate of mine is restoring his currently, engine hands out the front like no-ones business so handling is.....interesting. (especially since he's now fitting a coupe 16v turbo lump into it)
then sell it and but the 5 and chuck...
same rules apply, brembo of some form if you can get them, solid vented, and decent pads that wont fade/surrender with a bit of heat in them
I have no experience of pagid pads, always used ferodo or CL
unlucky chap, sorry to see the liquid yellow beast die a death :(
glad your all okay though
Cadwell is a fapping nightmare in the rain, did an evening session in the turbo few years back and it changed halfway as the rain started, I was still out on the slicks too, soon as they rain came a bit...
