It is - not sure why Google agreed with my search?! :P

    Quake 2 remaster

They need to do a reboot of UT2004. Opposing Worlds map - pretty much perfect.

Rear seat bolt being a C U Next Tuesday

Yeah - tried that. It wasn't up for making any change to it, unfortunately.

Rear seat bolt being a C U Next Tuesday

The irony with mine is that the bracket that the rear bolt (I assume?) is meant to hold down on the floor tightly - isn't doing so. It wobbles about fairly easy - so is pretty much doing nothing other than being a primordial weapon of the highest order. Getting slightly addicted to having the...

Rear seat bolt being a C U Next Tuesday

What an absolute t**t this thing is. Got it soaked in WD on Friday (both above and from underneath) and tried it about an hour ago. Not so much as a millimetre of movement. 1/4" inch socket set is way too weak, so will have got a 1/2" Torx40 bit on the way. Gave top and bottom another soaking...

I still prefer its American Truck Simulator sibling over the Euro one.

My New Yee - haw Pick Up Truck

I'd drive back to Oxford the other way around. Shove the Transit on the trailer and tow it with the pickup. Probably the same cost in fuel as a Falcon Heavy launch - but it would be worth it.

    Assetto Corsa Competizione

Couple of laps earlier in the Lexus RC F GT3 car against some AI GT4 competition. Looks a bit weird with no wheel and drivers arms - but my actual wheel overlays the bottom of the TV from my seat. So it 'feels' more realistic from that seating position.

Rear seat bolt being a C U Next Tuesday

Rather than faff about jacking it up, I'll nip round to the garage next to work tomorrow and have a look at the bolt from underneath. At the very least, I'll get it soaked in WD and maybe the odd thwack from above. I'll definitely NOT use an impact given the horror results on this thread!

Rear seat bolt being a C U Next Tuesday

Begger's belief that Renault used such a bolt there in the first place, made out of cheese. Granted, it's hardly ever accessed - this is the first time in my car since it was new. But surely a more robust option would have made a lot more sense for the 12.57p cost per unit difference?

Rear seat bolt being a C U Next Tuesday

It's strange because the two (zinc?) bolts - one each side of the bar came out pretty easy. I'll see if I can get under easily enough with WD. Fecking thing!!

Rear seat bolt being a C U Next Tuesday

So, I have a couple Torx-40 bit and a ratchet, but this little t**t is refusing to budge. I've sprayed some WD on it, though I'm really wary that the T-40 bits will just start to chew up the metal. Is an impact gun the best option? I'll bob by a garage and see if they can zap it loose - unless...

So, this little addition arrived yesterday and it's definitely added to the game. I think I'll be building up my leg muscles in using it over distance though! :P

    What service do I need?

I can believe it. When I picked my 182 up from Renault back in '04 - I was actually a bit disappointed with the feedback from the gearbox. Selecting gears was never a problem, but it had the directional commitment of a spoon handle in semi-solid porridge. When the first service came around at...

    What service do I need?

+1 I'll bang the drum for changing gearbox oil until I'm pushing up daisies. SO worth doing - especially if there is no record of it being drained and swapped previously.

    1991 Tungsten Grey R21 Turbo

Watched a YouTube video recently of a bloke in America buying a ropey looking Bentley at auction. Pretty sure that NASA operates some space missions with less complex electronics. A bottomless pit of issues.

Snap! Looking forward to the CSL load-cell brake pedal turning up. Fanatec said it was out for delivery from the 21st July, so it should be here at some point soon. Managed to dip into the 1.27's earlier too.

What kit are you using Andy? I used the settings below for a quick AI race. I reckon if I'd added another few minutes to the race, I would have nabbed pole from the winning car. Started 2nd from the back on the grid and seems a nice balance of AI ability, without them resorting to Mad Max...

    1991 Tungsten Grey R21 Turbo

Nothing going wrong on cars terrifies me as much as electrics do. Rust and corrosion can be cut out and replaced. Electrics can baffle even the most dedicated and capable minds. Not forgetting the small, yet plausible risk of setting the damn thing on fire when messed about with!

I've done a variation of that route a couple of times and can confirm that the roads are indeed great to drive on. On the map I did - I lopped-off the northern section - and went straight across from Sedbergh to Hawes - and onto Aysgarth, before heading south from there. Need to redo it at...

    [Next Gen/PC] GTA V

Genuinely think that Rockstar have utilised the dark arts of voodoo with this game. Fired it up the other day on my PC and Alt/tabbed back to Task Manager. Even with all the bells & whistles enabled, it was hovering around 2.7GB of memory usage. How they ever managed that, I have no idea. Just...

    Free games thread

Not added to this for a while, but Homeworld Remastered Collection is most certainly worthy of a mention. The setting still 'feels' good to this day - but back when the original was released in 1999, it was mind-blowing. This remaster dates from 2015, but the ambient, sometimes hauting music...

    Air-con randomly coming on?

Hi all, I've heard on a few occasions when I've switched the car off, the whine of the system spooling down. I've definitely not manually switched the air-con on and the A/C light isn't enabled. I never use the Auto function either - so I'm a little puzzled as to when it dictates as and when...
