Mounts go/wear quite badly on these cars. Could be very well like stated above .
I changed mine because i noticed the jumping/jerking/kicking getting worse and i thought 1+1 = movement in engine worsening = engine mount wear.
(if your at all a little bit familiar with your own car + a bit...
Re: clio cup race car project!
^^ i've learned something; the V6 box was used to keep decibel levels down on the cup cars wherever this was an issue (like Zandvoort-Holland being in the middle of residential areas). Where decibel-restrictions were easier, they were'nt used .
^^ right, you seem to know what you're talkin about. I call it limiter but you may be saying what i meant . It is done by watertemp sensor, watch your gauge . When going close to normal running temp for the FIRST time (you can actually see it rise and fall the first 10 minutes) , car...
^^
You all just watch your watertemp-read on the dial when leaving home. When it starts to get to almost normal temp ; the hesitation is gone
It's a built in limiter
NGK are really good, yep. Do'nt know about your type-nr. that you would need. I have the NGK plugs on my RS , were around 20pounds a piece though :eek:
The man was meaning the discs; when the discs need changing , the bearings will have to too.. This because the rear discs have the rear bearings pressed onto them, they come as one part . I think this was misunderstood by the lady
Dug up this old thread;
I posted a thread a little while back , seems i was losing a bit of coolant. I have found out that it's the waterpump leaking. This one was renewed with the cambelt-service and now 5k further it leaks.
Should i go back for some kind of warranty / get it repaired at...
opinions vary about this. The RS ones (lower) have the bigger diameter and supposably were better for torque. I had the regular ones matched but at the same time put in some nice cams so my opinion does'nt count ;)
In the most cases it is a nice mod to do ; RS ones or not.
They're not straight. The angle is close to 90 degrees in fact. When you have had them machined through+through , it was'nt done by cnc/machine.
I am talking about the lower one ofcourse; this has the RS stamp on it. Or not.
The upper one does'nt have the RS stamp, the one you seem to talk...
answer;
the RS stamped ones run a bigger diameter ALL THROUGH the tubes, whereas the non RS ones have a smaller diameter. When these are matched, the parts through the bends are'nt reached by the machine so only the beginning + ends are "matched" to the size of the ports it is matched to
Another guy from Poland on here is driving the V6 box, also Catcams + full big+open exhaust on there.. He has before+after. Can't remember his username though :S
... i hope there will still be spare parts for the 172 available from Renault when this manifold comes out :o They're supposed to produce parts for 15 years after production of the car has stopped so it may be tight here ;)
This is for the people who do'nt know/have forgotten ;

Ben , Icarus ?!
WHAT'S THE LATEST ?!?! There must be some by now ? :o C'mon !
^^ thanks all !
Now that we're talking about it; whenever i pick up the car from the garage, where it stands still most of the week , i have seen a small drop of fluid on the ground but that never had my attention because it is really just a drop / very tiny tiny bit.
It always seemed...
I have noticed that every couple of months i can fill up lets say 4cm in the expansion tank/reservoir , you think it's using coolant ? (headgasket?) :dapprove::(
Can't seem to spot a leak either..
