^^ HOLD the phones !! sorry for a very short hi-jack ;
When i had the major service done , belts, cams, waterpump , clutch they put in the RED coolant !
and it's been leaking ever since(from pump) . Is there a prob with the red coolant !?!
Fred, how's about the performance of this Stealth one in comparison to the race noisy pipework ? Will i notice performance-loss when choosing the quiet one ? (car on cams, 182 mani, inlets done, running very good + noisy)
Do'nt think so. We have "Zandvoort" circuit here at the beach in Holland, with strict decibel restrictions (for example the silencer box in exhaust is def. needed) . A man i know here who does racing with two Cup cars explained he uses "open" intakes on most, but this particular track he uses...
nice
Are you going to put a vid up some time of a nasty drive-by , high rpm ofcourse ? :)
My K-tec Stealth is still going strong after 5 years (!) but the silencer has become an amplifier ! This look like a nice job you got there to eventually replace my exhaust
Kenned , your being a bit silly here
You have contacted Mauro at ACAR Milano and every time someone orders a product from them they say the same thing ; "we can also deliver adjusable pulleys, they are not compulsory for the fitting "
Did he also mention the valve springs ?
He is just...
specs:

and Stan is right Kenned, these cams are made to run on standard situation (probably no benefit to be had with the pulleys)
that was my prob untill i got the deep dish wheel. 9cm dish , prob fixed. :approve:
Only problem now will be the deep dish in my head when crashing because of loss of airbag :(
it does handle nicely though , steeringwheel up closer to the torso
this would have only been possible at manufacturing ... monday morning incident ? Def go back to the dealer when warranty is still there. Your car is sick.
This can be said because you had other cars to compare with , same day, same RR, right powers/wrong powers
mine surprisingly GAINED hp when i put in a paper oem filter :approve: .. before+after proof on RR (mind you i lost the 90degree elbow at the same time + the filterbox was placed directly on the TB)
Got sick of the filthy oily ITG .. Clio Cup racers use paper ones aswell i've been told...
Cheerio Jack Dayey !
Rich ; were the holes the right size ? (i guess so or else you would have said) ?
I checked the price for the partno i used, they were a LITTLE cheaper. But i also had to drill out the holes which is no good ofcourse
Great stuff, thanks for the link
In my case, it was way to heavy to shift when first mounted. I soon found out what the prob was.
I called Maurice down at MB and he said i probably tightened the nut that connects it to the rest of the linkage too tight (so bottom of the actual stick, connecting it to the selector rod ? )...
Have a look on Marktplaats Martijn, There's a yellow ph1 , dark wheels , which seems to be very well kept after . The seller is from the dutch forum. The dealerprices are, ehh, WAY to high
oh ja, welkom op het rammelbakkenforum ;)
i was just at the dealer (again) a couple of hours ago, no more exchange on them.
For some (non RS) models they do still have the exchange service..
f**k i got quoted 371 Euros EX vat for drivers-side for me cup (so Laingo that must give you an idea) How many pounds would that be ?
^^ that's for 172 Mk1
172 mk2 ph2 toe out 1.7mm+-1.2mm
172Cup No toe 0mm+-1.2mm
On me cup i prefer a tad bit IN , makes a nice steady high speed straight, less nervous
when wanting sharp turn in , toe out
Thanks Edde ;)
i did this, just the ball joint.
Will look up the partno. Mind you , the holes need to be drilled out 1mm , so from 8 to 10mm
(or was it 10 to 12? ah well, it will be clear once purchased)
