me and a few of the lads got some time off so decided it was time to get the summer cars out (and finish some of them!!) since it was a nice dry day so me and my mate in his EK9 Civic Type R headed over to help my mate with his RX7
Lots of getting dirty!....
We fitted a nitrous...
i was £120 to get my front bumper done on my dci when i pranged it that was including removal and refitting, was £200 for the spoiler and rear bumper inc removal and refitting and the bumper needed a good bit of prep work. just say martin with the silver clios recomended u and he'll sort you out...
Car n Bike do all bodywork painting, repairs, flip paint anything you want, Colins a top notch painter he had a one off merc estate in the other day that was built for ayrton senna that was sold on and theres always some sort of super car in there and some amazing bikes! when you walk into the...
been there done that with the 1.2, spent thousands done everything i could do to it got bored, bought a 172 never looked back!!! not bored after 2 years of it and planning to keep it much longer!
yes i know not all kits are open but i get the impression its an open kit he has since hes saying its dirty (most open kits get dirty quickly due to sucking up all sorts of dust and dirt from the engine bay)
my 172 had a cheap filter on it when i got it and on a cold day it was fine, sounded...
changed both bottom arms inc new bushes
new track rod ends
2 new driveshafts
all new engine mounts
then k-tec stealth and AngelWorks matched inlets
mrs has ordered me a black samco bend for my bday too! wooo lol
yes i know thats what he wanted, people are stating theres no performance difference between the 2 and im arguing that there is, but its hard to tell from car to car because of the reason ive stated. mine has the main difference from a 172 and a 182 fitted and it DID give a power gain and make...
Re: Taking The 172 Of The Road...
finance companys usually state it must be insured even when off the road but theres no law stating that!
also a point that hasnt been noted, dont leave the handbrake on, leave it in gear instead
well thats me got it back from paint and oh my god what a job!! a massive thanks is owed to Colin @ Car N Bike in Bonnybridge its a 100% perfect job as usual which is hard to find sometimes these days!
anyway was in getting the new rear bumper painted and the cup spoiler done too...
you will notice a difference in power going from that to a standard airbox with good filter in it, your induction kit will be suffering from heat soak sucking in hot air and loosing power
that looks awesome mate in all seriousness if you sell it in summer please give me first offer my bird is desperate for one and your just down the road in airdrie!!!!
keep up the good work!
i always hear plenty people saying theres no difference in the real world between the 2 but ive got to say id have to disagree.
obviously we all knows that no 2 cars are the same and all that so driving a 172 and then a 182 is hard to determin the difference, but ive driven MY 172 with both...
as above they are deffo stuff to look out for.
exhausts are terrible too they fall off so most will either have a newish standard one or an aftermarket one (or a fucked standard 1!)
my 172 snapped at the centre section at the rear of it, ive saw backboxes fall off too in my time
Re: I Just Got a Emense Deal On A 182
bought my dci with 140k on the clock, in a year its cost me £350 to tax and insure it for a year, £30 to change oil and its averaged 60mpg in the 10k ive done so far
a clio with 140k can be better to drive and more reliable than a 30k miles one.
on...
what size is the gearbox on them, and will it fit in the engine bay of a clio or is it same size or same box as the RS meganes?
you can see where this is going lol
