Wouldnt really say hes moaning, he got a fair point. You dont want your back seat passenger flying towards you at 40-50mph in crash do you? Sounds like a good price, even if you get buckets youll want to keep the seatbelts in for 5 min journeys, believe me.
If your limited to a Sunny GTi-R instead of a Pulsar (import) then you are really restricting the number of cars you can look at and if you only have 3.5k to spend then I think you will be looking for a long time. Imo if you do find one for 3.5 k you might end up spending a LOT of money on it as...
3995 is very cheap for a mint Williams 3 I would have thought it would be more like 4449 If it is how you describe. You wouldnt believe the amount of Williams that are advertised as mint but up close/in detail are far from it!
Christ, I think we need a welcoming commitee inn here at the moment!;)
Oh and hello Duke182, Ive heard those 182 thingies are almost as good as the Williams.:D
I got the impression that York times were slightly quicker than the pod on the whole but I guess there are too many variables to be an accurate comparison. Hope to compare times from Elvington with York Raceway soon.
Ive just been reading a thread on Scoobynet where someone had the following opinion.
Crail / York etc are a waste of time unless you want to brag down the pub I suppose....
The times are 0.5 - 1 sec faster than the FIA approved POD in my experience...
So I was wondering has anyone run...
Handbrake that works on a Williams, are you sure?;)
Good to know youve finally got those brakes sorted mate, are you going to use them in anger anytime soon?
Im quite tempted as chasing Ferraris, Porshes and Lambos around the country would be amazing. Also you know you wouldnt be slowest because there are Punto GTs and a mx5 in there! I think if your cars all legal and youve got a road angel or similar you might be OK. 600 quid seems a bit steep though.
Quite a few other forums have cars doing this, is no-one on here interested?
Heres the line up so far.

No matter how many times they mention it NOT being a race youve got to fear for your license if you...
Now youve got 16v power danny have you thought about having a go at quarter miling? You should get yourself to York sometime, Im itching to go quartermiling/ Peaks/ NW blast. Get my car back on Monday hopefully.:D
Keep the bodywork standard but go for engine mods plus exhaust and filter. If youre having problems with the ride height Id raise it slightly but imo its all about performance if you want spend money on 17s and kits buy a 1.2.
Yes Im still coming to the rolling road, should be interesting. My cars going down to GDI on monday and should be back a week later with a bit more power. :D Then all I need to do is get the Nitrous fitted.:devilish:
getting a new clutch cable fitted I have been driving my sisters 1.6 16v Corsa Sport. I guess you only realise how good something is once its gone, after a year of driving nothing but my Williams the Corsa driving experience was a bit of a shock!
The ride quality and quietness were a...
I was with A/Flux (Highway) last year and when my re-newal came round they wanted 1170 TPF&T (24, 3yrs NCB, modded williams) I called around a bit and no-one came close. Called Brentacre and they quoted my 996 on a modified policy. Got my documents through and the policy was still with Highway!
