Eibach Springs, not what people think?

This. Given how little the Sportlines lowered my 172 Cup I'd go with them and not the Pro's.

    Icemans Britcar Endurance project 182

I'd wager that 90% of tin top race cars in the UK start with a road car. I don't think it's naivety here, Mark has stated he likes to build his own stuff, props to him for it. Judging by the location, the Aston, etc. I'd say that the extra investment needed to start from scratch isn't much of...

    Icemans Britcar Endurance project 182

Entry fees are about £2k if you sign up around Autosport time, or they were for 2010. 2010 was a blinding race to be part of, and just finishing feels amazing. This looks to be a cracking project, what's with the Avantime (?) wheels though?

    EK's

The exterior has aged very very well for a 20 year old shape. The interiors though, especially the pre '94 cars, are such crap. lol. Your mates looks a good example, usually the metal worm has eaten the front of the rear arches.

    EK's

The '9 is still hanging around somewhere, it was repaired and sold on somewhere up north IIRC. I refused it though, didn't fancy it. It is so difficult to find tidy EG6's these days, mine was an ESI which I plonked an SIR engine into. EG's are fantastic cars though, same chassis as a DC2...

    EK's

Where's the EG appreciation thread?! I owned this: It had these fitted: And a collection of DC2 Suspension parts, and a JDM B16A lump. Then I was set to own this: Ohlins Coilovers, CE28s, Fujitsubo RM01-A, it was perfect. Then the importer crashed it en route to deliver it to me.

Not a happy bunny - Potential Gearbox issue

Had this on mine, a groan/rotational bearing noise when turning right 'exuberantly', turned out my gearbox mount was shagged (the upper one underneath the battery.) £17 odd later it was fixed.

My mate Steve in CSL cup action

I'm the co-ordinator for the series. lol. Steve was a regular in 2009, but his aspirations grew a touch and he spent an absolute fortune on a rebuild with the chaps at Schirmer. In the hands of Michael Funke at Brands the car dominated in every way. With Steve, I guess the constant thought of...

Speedhunters pics etc, how do they do it?

You can't polish a turd Ste ! lol If the shot's in focus and got a reasonable composition you can do anything in PS, literally anything.

Speedhunters pics etc, how do they do it?

As mentioned, the states gets fantastic natural light. But I really don't like that filter, here's what 30 seconds in Camera Raw, a better (IMHO) crop, and remove that nasty antenna thing, looks like...

172 Cup knocking noise - Gearbox? Driveshaft?

Your symptoms sound identical to mine, only the loss of drive is different to my car. I too have checked every engine mount, replaced them anyway, poly bushed the dogbone and I still get the noise. It's only when the car hits max torque levels in 1st/2nd and a little bit in 3rd. I'm certain...

What has broken in the last 6 months?

Thanks lol, I used to be a kind of regular when I had a phase 1 RT - what a POS that was. Did the Civic Type R / Jap thing for a while, then bought a 172 Cup as a runabout.
