^ lol read the thread mate, we've already established there was a confussion ;) i was talking about the punto sporting. Clio 1.2 16v has around 75 standard iirc
^think you'll still need to get better springs
if your paying edde, i'm more than willing to give it a bash ;) seriously though, a 172 lumps going in eventually, just need some no claims first lol
the weight of the engine means you need to have a different suspension set up iirc. but fair dos if your giving it a bash yourself, if i had the balls i'd give it a go lol
^ your prob looking at the best part of 3 grand just for the engine and fitting, without rear discs (which prob arent needed) suspension and all the other gubbins eddes mentioned. You can pick up a good 1.6 for silly money now, if you can indeed find one. That is of cause unless you have a mate...
start a petition! mines fine as of yet (touch wood) but it was out of a newish 182 so dont expect any problems. However i would gladly sign it to rub renault up the wrong way ;)
to be honest probabaly better to just to stick a 172 lump in, as its more regularly done or just buy a 1.6 and transfer the bits over (i know i considered this)
go back to your dealer, whether in warranty or not, if not write a nasty letter to renault uk, saying that the car is faulty, and the wheel isnt designed properly for its purpose. Also make sure u take lots of pics.
to be honest i'd keep the red ones, keeps the back end looking nice and smooth, like the white and black theme, not sure on the front bumper, but bet it looks loads better in real life
actually my spoiler will be taken off the car tomorrow for a respray so could get it off it then, but a bit late lol. Get the reg plate off a V6 and they'll be able to look it up off that, if they cant they're crap so try another one ;)
dont know why people take this 'painting badges thing' so seriously, its only a bit fun and can be reverted back to standard in about 5 mins. anything different nowdays gets slated no matter how small. do it, i think it looks good ;)
i've been wanting to sound deaden my boot for a while, but its always something i put off as im a tight arse. blob of silicone on the two spoiler 'legs' would be helpful on mine as well
92. the 1.6 was a 96bhp.
i had one, and sold it for the 1.2 16v clio due to reliability. definetely much faster, but nowhere near as good at handling. i also wasnt a fan of the standard seats, pedals, or seating position.
