GLWS @Tony Robinson. Hopefully it's new owner will find their way here and not to the other place. ?

I think it's fair to say that most clio sport owners on a clio sport owners forum know what their car is worth and what to expect from their insurance company should the worse happen. Best thing to do if your clio is written off is buy it back and sell as parts. We buy any car have not I g to do...
U clamp and pipe connector I was referring to. Seems to me you're sourcing parts from the worse place possible and expecting Renault to stock obscure parts for a long out of production car.
99.9% of owners would have replaced those parts with used items at a fraction of the cost and down time. I've run mine daily for 2 and a bit years and it's not had any more time off the road than the wife's 2015 clio!
To run 280 discs you must have 5mm takenboff the caliper mounting faces. The bracket is also 5mm smaller from the hub mount holes to the caliper mount faces. You cannot just remove 10mm from a bracket for 300mm discs because this doesn't leave enough material between the caliper face and hub...
Welcome to cliosport Tom. Bit risky buying one of these unseen, I hope it's a good one. Has it been on other reg plates before? If you could find out what the previous reg was a search of it in here might turn something up.
Sounds like you got lucky with that ebay bid! Wonky exhaust is normal for a 182 that hasn't had its owner beneath it for a few hours. Reg is a bit chavvy though. Welcome to clio life ?
Yeah £2k is a bit excessive! What's the difference between the newer Meg 3 brembo and the ones you have? They are bigger right? But will they fit and are the mounting points the same? I'm surprised pure didn't fit them if it's possible.
If you were going to give up you would have done so a long time ago. You must still get a tingle thinking about what it will be like when it's done? It may still be a way off but at least it's making progress, just look at the shiny studs in that rusty old turbo! ??
Another thing they should be left the factory with. The mounting brackets cut those look a bit more complicated than the 1*2 ones. Did Renault devise some strange way of mounting the calipers?
Yep I got an email today saying on it way. Hopefully that's not all I get. That's not good reading on DW, I'm not sure any company could revive themselves from that level of customer dissatisfaction. But it sounds like Lee and Fay have figured that out in the past? Shame as the products are good.
