Suprised it wouldn't fit, the 15" space saver has 185/55s i think. The overall diameter is within a few mm of a 16" with 195/45s.

Depends how you use your car, but for track use any strengthening is good news. If you have standard (i.e. soft) suspension, you probably won't feel a difference. As you say though Jon, clearance could be an issue! It would be nice to hear about the adjustable ARB, i haven't found any...
