Currently i run around with tyre foam rather than a spare wheel in my 172. Obviously, with no support the boot floor is sagging into the spare wheel well. I know i could just cut some MDF but was wondering, is the spare wheel well welded up in the Cup and 182 models or is there an OEM ready cut...

Was it 'Pretenders' car? His dad had a 172 i think and was a member too... Bear in mind the guy probably modified over time, i doubt he suddenly spunked a few grand on doing it up. And has been said, there is tax and insurance to think about... The ultimate first car i'd say, bar the lights!

Remember that the 182 has different geometry to compensate for the wider tyres, which will dull feedback on your Cup.
