Well, yes it will, by 10mm!
A reason why the Clios are so good is because of the excellent damping control. The more you lower a car without matching the dampers in accordance, the more you are compromising the handling of the car.
Just go on a Brekkie Run to find out :D
40mm springs takes that out of the damper travel, making your car not handle. Undoubtedly cars on Apex would make your car look best, but if you want to go that low i'd save up for a few months until you can afford some coilovers.
Some official BMW dealerships supply Hartge and Schnitzer parts which are covered under warranty. The major tuning firms normally offer their own warranty on engine parts as well.
Well, if you spend towards £20k on a Mini then i guess you want to feel reassured having the warranty, especially as you get 5 years free servicing which would be voided too...
A 15% pulley can give upto 20bhp ATW, and they cost £120!
Upping the boost isn't neccessarily a clever idea but you don't need to spend thousands on getting the Mini's up to near 200bhp figures.
People rant on about Mini's being expensive but if you do plan to tune your car Mini's can work...
Can't say i've tested both (has anyone?) but i'm not sure the lower version would be better for the track due to the compromise on the dampers. I'll probably get them though as i've heard the Pros have made some cars higher! No thanks...
I don't get why people moan about the popularity of Turinis! Outside of a Clio meet the likelyhood of me seeing a modified 172 or even a Cup to begin with is very small. I have never seen a 172/182 with Turinis on the road.
I'm getting confused here...
As i understand it there is no 182 Cup, right?
There is a 182 with a 'Cup pack' though. I thought this was just same wheels painted a different colour, slightly different suspension and the splitter/spoiler from the 172 Cup?
Where does the weight difference come in?
As soon as you i three figures my 172 runs out of puff. I have never tried to go past 120mph, and can't imagine a car still 'pullling' at 140mph...maybe battling to go forward whilst shaking itself to death.
I'm sure the 10bhp extra helps for the 182 but i'm sure that probably only equals...
Yeah, thanks for the review. The biggest pain about not going was missing out on a drive in the 197 as i am teetering on the brink of getting one next year.
I guess from the perspective of it being your only car, you would have to decide what is more important, road driving or track driving. It...
