Whatever you do, DO NOT buy C&C4. I bought it in the last sale for £3.74 and it's not even worth that. Utter shite. The very core being of the C&C franchise has been ripped out (that of base building and unit development) and instead relies on a weird and seemingly pointless effort to complete...
Cheers guys. I'd MUCH prefer to hear from people who've been there and done it, rather than having several dozen opinions off various websites. :)
I take it that once you've got the kit though, moving forward with new components is literally just a case of replacing the GPU, CPU and RAM...
PC mob - any decent mods out there worth nabbing? I wouldn't mind one that reduced your carrying capacity - having 38 weapons to hand at any one given time is a little mongy, imo.
I heard that the first attempts are online multiplayer are out there, but it's very, very basic at the minute...
You sound in the same boat as me, m8! Tended to stick with Asus mobos myself as well, though I have dabbled with MSI and Gigabyte before now. Never did try DFI back in their day, though.

Golden years. Back when everything was mechanical and the onboard computer was the drivers' brain.
Almost appears like childs-play (though granted, it clearly isn't) - in current F1 where clutch settings can be determined by an engineer on the pitlane wall, in comparison.
Truly epic.

Chaps (Scone, Gareth, Munson, in particular) - what would I be looking at in terms of expense switching from air to water for cooling?
I've got an i7 (LGA1366) sat on an Asus Rampage III Extreme, which iirc, is the same board that Gareth uses? I'm currently running two GTX460s as well and would...
PMSL. Can you seriously imagine Superfast on a console????
I've give the console 24mins to live - assuming it was lucky. And 20mins of that would be setting up his profile!

Just lost out at Wave 26 on solo Survival. Get's fecking hard when the juggernauts are teamed up with armoured troops and attack dogs. Can't reload fast enough!

Nail. Head. Hit.
Focus and involvement are rare requirements these days. Anything that can grab peoples' attention for more than 20mins at a time is doing well. Shame in a lot of ways - but the old days of several hours slog are LOOOOONG gone!

I don't think I could do that on this game. My previous stats & levelling whinges have just soured this game for me. I haven't even launched it for a few weeks now.
The sad thing is, I bet Bethesda won't address the issue in their next game either. If I was good at programming, I'd develop a...
I agreee with Damo's point - assuming that the OP has a micro-ATX power supply?

Only tried the Kinect once, but it seemed MUCH better than the Wii we have here. The Wii desperately needs an HDMI interface as when used on a screen anything above 32", it looks pixelated and generally awful. The motion detection on the Wii is average at best too - often allowing you to do well...
Not played any Saints Row games, so I can't comment on those.
MW3 (as per usual) - has a good SP campaign to it and I really like the co-op and survival modes to it. Would never even attempt to spend 5mins online with it though - I just hate the way COD plays online.
BF3 - so, so SP campaign...
One of the things I don't miss about where I used to live. With a stables pretty much on the door-step, there were more horses and riders about than there were cars. The vast majority of them were fine - in control of the glue-stick and letting on when you've given them room, etc.
The flipside...
Lol. See you in a few weeks......
Loving Renegade Ops. Such an OTT, retro-based shooter. It would be the kind of game I would have pumped 10p's into an arcade machine for, years ago!
D.
Just finished the SP campaign and yet the main menu says I'm only 56% done on it? Does that only show 100% complete if you collect all the intel, etc?
D.
Definitely. That last point is the key to the six-man team working as a game concept. Or else it just gets ridiculous - especially if two or three guys are playing as medics!

One of our directors at work had one of these years ago. He asked if I could 'test drive it' as he thought it was feeling a bit sluggish. Naturally, I did test it with a heavy right foot! ;)
That yellow colour looks superb - liking that a lot. And my god, how high was the ride height before you...
You're not wrong there, m8. But Infinity Ward do SP campaigns like few others and at the minute, I'm just along for the ride. :)
Totally agree that the whole COD franchise needs a complete overhaul, imo.

Never liked COD online anyway m8! Teamed up with my nephew earlier on for a bit of the co-op missions. They were good fun. Not to mention that he's getting bloody good at FPS's too!

It's well worth it if you can manage it. The guys I normally team up with are usually much better than me - so I try an back them up in some form of support role. It really does add an extra dynamic to the game when you can immediately call out to a potential target to the two/three guys in your...
