He bites. ;)
I merely fly the flag for PC owners and people like Scone, Munson, Gareth, et al who pump £££ into their PCs to see what can be achieved. Consolers seem uber-keen for the 'argument' that PCs need upgrading every four weeks - which is as incorrect as it is pathetic. There is no need...
Couple that with the auto-repair function that most servers seem to leave enabled - means that you're in for a VERY frustrating time against vehicles! :)

Yes James - and I love them. The only criticism I'd say (especially on the Gulf of Oman) is the lack of AA against a good American side with their aircraft carrier out in the bay. They will rape you, hard. I remember on the original BF2 version where there were SAM missile sites on the beach...
I have to agree. Nothing else comes close. It has it's failings - and frustratingly the majority of those failings have been put into the game and didn't exist in previous BF games. The lack of 6-man squads. The auto-repair of vehicles (though that can be disabled from a server control). The...
Picked this up today and am currently rolling through the SP campaign. I like how it's picked up from where MW2 finished - familiar characters and voices coming back.
So far, so good. :)

I don't remember that one. But my m8 had a Phillips Videopac G7000 console with two games on it, pretty much at the same time I had an Atari 2600. Both were circa 1981 or thereabouts - I popped my console cherry the previous year when a close family friend lent us his Atari 2600.
Mike - you've...
What are you using the WD Green's for, m8? Just general storage? We've had major issues with those at work - failing for fun, pretty much. They seem to have quite a lot of known errors with certain RAID controllers too. The WD Black's are much better, I've found.
32GB = hero spec. I recently...
You sir - are officially f**king awesome. :hail:
No doubt some people on here stuck in 2005 will state that their current console cost the same as the box that that mobo comes in. Balls to 'em. Following that philosophy, we'd all be cheering our black & white TVs as being 'good enough'...
Showing your age there, if you remember that? ;)
Played it to death on the Amiga. My m8 even completed it with a single character - back in the days where you could repeat a skill again and again and ultimately become badass at everything. He had FAR too much patience to do that - I just stuck...
Earlier on today on my way to the Trafford Centre. Remarkably clean for the salt-laden roads - unlike mine!
Nice to get the acknowledgement back. :)

Do you get the option of selection criteria on the console versions, m8? On the PC version, BF3 actually launches a web-browser window, in which you can tick-box the map choices, 16, 24, 32 or 64 player maps - whether or not they are full, PB enabled, etc?
I can usually hand-pick the type of...
I entirely agree - and that's what I'm getting at. But Skyrim makes it almost impossible for you to do that. You class them as 'key perks' at that's exactly what they should be - the foundation of skill sets that makes up your character. But nothing would stop your character right now, right...
Aye - I guess that's the most obvious solution. Would be nice if DICE made a gunnery range map - for all aspects of the game. Have 'cardboard' targets at different ranges - especially the ones that moved or popped up at different times.
I did get to grips with the gunships in BF2142, but that...
Looked a LOT better on the SLi'd GTX460s than the Crossfire'd 4890s. Like Nickson, I got so far into it but haven't returned since.
I may need to address that. :)

BF3 needs a sand-box map on single player mode, imo.
I'd love to practice a bit more with the planes and helis, rather than being a lead-weight burden for my team and a sitting duck for the enemy team online. :)
