agree with you on the most part there. whilst im not the biggest fan of CDM's car i can appreciate the quality of the car, and some of the work is one-off which goes a long way :)
nah cant say ive heard of him.
about 25quid for 4 tyres fitted and balanced. cash of cause ;)
dont mind payin it, as they're always doing little bits and bobs for free, so cant complain :)
will have to have a bash at doing mine in blue, but would probably end up having it resprayed if i liked the colour - and it'd all be your fault ;)
car went in this morning btw, should be back by next thursday ish.
if its the plastic engine cover its fine to spray it using conventional paint. i did mine in a candy red with a small flip coat over the top, and then put a k-tec racing sticker on, and then lacquered it on. been on for about 20,000 miles and no problem at all regarding colour or the sticker.
that the one in burslem? cant say ive ever been there myself.
i normally use saxon tyres in biddulph (my local lol) but when my tyres are due, will probably get them from somewhere like mytyres, or blackcircles, and then get them to fit them. last time i checked it worked out much...
should fit, however best off checking to make sure it fits before you order it.
take the front wheel off and measure the vertical distance between the two horizontal bolts at the bottom of your suspension.
I only have a 1.2 16v so i'm never gonna be going fast round corners so didnt need to pay the extra, i mainly bought them for looks. As far as i'm concerned i'm not gonna change the height of the car cos i love the way it looks as is, so if they rust in place nevermind :approve:
i've got a viper, sports cat and stealth system on mine, and makes the world of difference, alot smoother throughout all the revs and does seem to pull nicer. For cheaper options, get a panel filter. If you're getting an exhaust for added power think carefully about the make and design of...
with places like powerflow you've got to get lucky on the place you go. my local centre has always done a mint job, but ive heard loads of horror stories on other forums about poor craftmanship.
i wanted to do something similar using a momo one, but couldnt for the life of me get the momo one to sit on the renault frame, just kept popping back out as it was too thick round the edge to sit tight :(
normally have to fork the drivers side out using a kitchen knife, or something blunt as its normally stuck in pretty solid lol
passenger side just pulls out, but is easiest if you open the glovebox first so you can get your fingers under the lip
looks like it clears the shocks ok from the pics you've posted. i had a similar problem when fitting my latest wheels, basically due to the fact i guessed the offset. the easiest way to work out what spacer you need imo is to jack the car up using a trolley jack, similar to what you've done...
custom isnt that much at all. powerflow can be had for 250 for a cat back, with dubious stainless steel quality. pro-speed/howard&scott start at around 280 but with better quality stainless, so they're not rediculous. obviously gives the benefit of choosing the level of noise, and more...
personally - silver or black for me if you paint them.
i went against eddes advice (foolishly lol) and got some brembo max discs with pagid max pads. i think they work much better than the standard renault ones, and arent that much more.
if you want it to stop then go for a big brake...
