Andy, have you proved this on a rolling road?
I know the standard ECU could accomodate a cat back exhaust or a peformance filter but i thought removing a cat was quite a bit change in comparison?
I have seen some bog standard cars which overfuel, some at dangerous levels, so i'd be interested...
You are right in a way, Hi Spec don't get anywhere near the strength of a Brembo/AP caliper but then cost reflects this. If you are an occasional track day goer then they probably make the most sense. It's only when you get to racing then you'll see problems.
I'd probably offer a scrappy a tenner!
If you go onto Autotrader there is a used part search facility on the right hand side. If it's the same thing i have used in the past, you fill in your details and a load of scrappies will get back to you. Just play them off each other, say someone...
Well the egg smell might mean the CAT has upset your fuel mixture. It is too rich. This would explain the limp home mode.
Get the problem diagnosed by a Renault specialist and if it is in fact the CAT, get one from a scrappy. Or, buy a warranty and claim from it (presumung exhaust is covered).
I just don't get ebay, there is the possibility of the seats being fooked but people are still willing to trust in luck and throw almost £700 at them :S
My Mini had a Hardon Kardon stereo. I didn't realise how good it was until i got the 172 yesterday!
Thing is, i don't want to change the HU because i like the OEM look. Flashing blue lights and bright silver panel isn't my thing. I understand not changing the HU will prevent me having a sooper...
I think the Turini is the better looking wheel but it's a bit of a bloater compared to the other two. A racing blue 182 would look pretty sexy with black Pro Racer's and they are excellent VFM. You will need coilovers though!
Nice one fella! I saw a Mk1 V6 yesterday but it was in the blue you see Mk2s in...looked ace.
The guy i bought the 172 off wanted a Vee but his wife made him get a Boxster, yawn!
Yeah don't get an Ibiza, my mum has a Polo and it's quite disconcerting to drive. The steering doesn't feel connected to the wheels, it's like one of those plastic steering wheels little kids have!
Personally i think you should spend your money on lap dances, like any other 18 year old would.
This thread reminds me of the race between Marty McFly and Biff in Back to the Future.
So, what speed does your Clio do before it can time travel? Perhaps more importantly, can you beat my hoverboard?
lol.
That's fair enough. I guess i'm not overly concened with speed, as it's all relative. My 172 might be quick for a hatch but then i'd still look slow compared to a M3. I get a rush out of good handlings car much more than i would out of some straight line shove.... :)
Mate if you're 18 then you should hang on i reckon. I sold my 1.216v at that age and regret doing it. It had coilovers and Clio Cup wheels, i was really happy with it. I didn't realise that until it was sold to another CS member though... Speed isn't everything.
