You lot are retarded, the Micra is a MUCH better car and has a MUCH better chassis than the outgoing Clio. I drove a 1.2 Micra as a courtesy car for my 1.2 Clio and didn't want it back it was that much better..
Just because it's a Micra don't assume it's a bad car.
Ultimately the springs aren't matched to the dampers so handling won't be as good as it could be.
People often get springs with different manufacturer dampers though which would present a similar problem.
The 182 is a performance car so i wouldn't go for the cheapest option in this case. Save...
None will give much of a performance increase, you are going to struggle to notice anything below a 10bhp change, which will not happen with an air filter!
Going down the exhaust and induction kit route will however give a great noise and better throttle response.
I saw two yesterday, quite alarming the size of them really. I didn't really like the look of them but then a 1.2 Authentique hardly looks the bees knees does it!
I was thinking of getting k-tecs 182 manifold with sports cat but then noticed it costs £225+vat. That's like 5 hours of labour. Is it really that difficult to unfit/fit the manifold?
Not keen on those particular wheels but i would love to euro my car. Thing is, you'd need airbags or hydraulics as i haven't seen coilovers low enough. When you have super wide wheels and are lowered like 120mm you're going to be replacing bits regularly too!
Whats with the massive gap between bumper and wheel arch, have you had a minor accident?
I would say lose the mudflaps and lower 60mm and you'll be there!
You will get heatsoak with that one. Bear in mind when rolling roaded cars have their bonnets open, doesn't happen on the road and especially when you're trundling around.
Buy an induction kit for it's noise and be happy with any other benefits you may get ;)
So how much are they from Renault?
As much as a slammed look the Trophy seems to get such glowing praise that i'd rather have a better handling car rather that one which can simply generate more grip.
