Any track day will have instructors in attendence. I know a great guy who will come to trackdays with you but he's not cheap!
Personally i can't see how someone can be a car enthusiast and not be interested in improving their driving skill. Clearly they need to get their weak asses onto a track...
The only time i found the 1.2's brakes wanting was when it was 4 up. I got 4 pots on my as i actually took it on track but that would be overkill for road use. I'd just get better pads, fluid and brake lines.
Hi Guys
I am currently with Privilege who seem to give great quotes but i read another thread saying Directline don't allow mods for under 25s (Directline underwrite Privilege).
Any recommendations for mod friendly insurers. I don't plan to go to town, just a hidden exhaust and coilovers.
Thanks!
The magazines talk about the 'race spec' Trophy dampers but exactly how good are they, what's the spec?
I have heard they are a stupid amount of money but it would be interesting to know how good they are compared to the top Koni dampers you can get with the FK Automotive kits.
The best thing to do is do a License test using that track until you're beating the Gold time comfortably. I'll show you ladies how it's done when i'm home.
More grip and power, but not the same enjoyment...
How much are second hand RX8s? I did my National B in one and though it handled well and i thought it sounded sweet too.
I would say a Mini Cooper S but they aren't 100% reliable, you'd need a 2005 facelift to be sure.
Am i right in thinking the Eibach are progressive springs whereas the Apex aren't? The Eibach aftermarket spring range is good for road use, but i wouldn't want a progressive spring for track. Eibach have a great reputation so they're bound to be dearer.
My only problems with the Cup is lack of ABS and the fact that despite being dirt cheap brand new, second hand they're more expensive than a comparable 172. I know they are rarer but considering the lack of Xenons and leather, i wouldn't, and didn't, pay more!
Haven't seen it myself, love the blurred shot of it going round a corner. Looks aggressive with being OTT.
Can't wait to find a crashed one, i'm going to fit the 197s interior into the 172 defo!
I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. Dealers tend to treat car badly as at the end of the day, they didn't pay for them. God knows what has happened to a press car!
I've recieved tyres from then the next day, but then i've also recieved them 2 weeks later! They're a bit random, depends if they are in stock i guess.
Oh, didn't know coils were a problem with Clios. In that case, DO NOT drive your car anymore. If the coils are fooked, it would of overheated the CAT and you could seriously damage your motor.
That kind of makes sense re-reading your first post.
So are you saying people shouldn't buy your upgrade then Fred? ;)
You could probably find a 4x4 which will stop almost as quick, the question is, how many times can it do it?! :p
