Excessive camber can cause tramlining. Wide tyres don't help either.
The wheels will "fall" into the grooves of the road, created by endless amounts of traffic. Particularly annoying when driving down the inside lane on motorways.

Yep. good to get things written up, every correspondence with insurance and other parties etc... Did the police attend the accident?

Old cups won't cause you any problems with rattling. They'll cause you a problem when you get a new exhaust fitted, they wear through, and the bolts shoot out the other side of them.
