Rather than simply down to the tyre pressures and tyre composition as this wont affect centering.
I think its more due to changes in steering geometry such as SAI offset and scrub radius and affecting wheel rates.
They are good for std and slightly machined from the bare casting, but by no means anywhere neat their full potential.
This engine will start to run out of puff around the 300-320bhp mark.
Steve, you cant have any pullies, unless you plan on loosing the VVT actuator.
For info on price...
should of gotten a curcular saw peice for holes, thats a small hole compared to the 3-4" holes you could of made!
now go get one and make some bigger holes!
SARCASM!!!!!
He said estimate so i threw out a figure, hows 94bhp!??~
And as for 30bhp gain....erm, if you can show me a near 170 brake valver with all that bolt on fluff the ill eat one of my toenails.
the 1.8 and its design make it naturall peaky, you cant do anything to gain lower torque apart form leave the cam as it is and increase breathing efficiency via headowork, its honestly the only thing you can do at the moment, unless you want to use N20.
Turbo, if you want it to come on...
a couple of people have this problem and the easiest solution is to alter the hanger posisitons to lift the exhaust elbow higher.
Just get a hammer and steel rod (extention bar is fine) locate it on the top hanger above the bend, hit it so it moves it up, put the rubber back on and itll be...
oil loss is always high on our engines. The under piston bore sprays means alot fo oil is burnt up in teh breather system as it moves about as vapour.
10w40...........oil is reccomended but isnt biblical, i use 15w50 as they run so hot that a higher vis oil is needed, and you should choose...
probably just the starter. I cooked mine several times and it wouldnt work till the nxt morn.
Sometimes it acts up and i jiggle the connections, it doesnt like the heat.
you got a 2ltr engine and its comming on cam at 4500!?
what cam have you got?
If its wild, why not just downgrade to a cam with equal lift and less duration and a wider LCA?
But if you havent had your head ported, get one........itll perk it up all over the rev range.
Incidentally, i...
When you take it off a little fuel will spurt out under pressure, but nothing major, but taking the filer out will leak fuel all over the shop as its full to the brim.
Just take car and youll be fine.....eyes covered.
By unplugging the ABS system via the fuse or wheel sensors youll NOT have EBD control.
Brake bias is controlled via EBD software through the ABS computer, removing abs will revert the car to 50/50 split braking.
